Kimi took his first WRC points placing 8th in rally of Jordan.

"Finland's Kimi Raikkonen finished eighth for Citroen, the former Formula One world champion taking his first points in rallying at world championship level since he made the switch at the end of last year."

Kimi is second F1 driver who has achieved points in both WRC and F1 series. Carlos Reutemann did same in 1980.

Moon causes rally crash

New Zealand rally driver Mark Tapper experienced an offbeat form of audience participation during the Rally New Zealand earlier this month.

Tapper was driving his WRC Mitsubishi Evo when a spectator who had strategically placed himself on the inside of a corner decided to give the driver a show of appreciation.

The spectator whipped down his trousers to give the Kiwi a night rally experience. Tapper responded to driving in the glare of the moon by overcorrecting on the corner and turning his race progress on its head, literally.

The Evo's in-car camera caught the action as Tapper came in too hot and put the rear end into an embankment, which resulted in a nasty spill.

The 29-year-old Tapper - who began rallying in 2001 and had six WRC starts under his belt by 2009 - was less than overjoyed by the results of the cheek exposure. His response, which is probably not suitable for the ears of anyone under the age of 16, can clearly be heard in the video.

:lol
