Good morning :wave

Fingers crossed for a good race and a good result, Red Bulls are dominating again but I still think Fernando can finish on the podium :thumb I just hope there will be a race without any safety car incidents :-)

Lots of things could happen, but I think we have a chance to, not just get on the podium, but for Fernando to win, and, perhaps even a podium for Felipe.

Tifosi
11th July 2010, 08:52
It will be a tall order for us to expect both RBs to self destruct and therefore take the win but we should get a very satisfying podium today, and we are expecting our race pace to be good so Felipe could get valuable points too.

Mind you, Red Bull have a nice habit of shooting themselves in the foot so.... ;-)

Wondering what EJ will be wearing today...... :Hmm

Heheh. Well he's playing drums at the after race party today so i'll go for his "white jeans" look. To be honest, that is the only thing that I can mark as a positive for not being able to go myself this year. The mental scars of hearing EJ murder "The Chain" will never leave me. His drumming skills are akin to what I imagine "Paul the World Cup predicting Octopus" drumming skills would be like. At least Paul is underwater!!!

You don't think we can beat them in race trim? I disagree, I think we can. It would be nice to beat them on the track.

I know we are not quite up to them in Q, but, on race day, especially the longer the race goes, I believe we can beat them. We have been good on our tyres and brakes which helps us in the later stages. What we need is to be out front and in clear air where we can drive the car without stressing it to try and pass.

Needless to say I'd like to see both McCheater cars out of the points.

I don't think we will be able to pass them today, no. Vettel will scoot off and based on yesterday's lap times, there's no reason to see why we should suddenly be on a par with them. The RB is better suited to this track than the Ferrari. As you say, we need to be out front in clean air. We're not. Vettel is. :-??

Webbo is bound to do summat weird though. ;-)

as long as we can get away safely at the start, i think we have a fighting change.
i dont think we will be beat Vettel here, but everything is possible.
we have seen stranger things happen in the last few races, not sure about Felipe but i think he can get a decent amount of important points for the WCC.
i think we will at least see nando on the podium

I totally agree!! the F10 is superior on race day and if everything goes well Alonso will win.. Hands down...

In a proper race, it should be possible to finish second. So, let's see we get through the first corner without problems and then just sit out all the required laps. But I do hope it will turn out a little more interesting than that.

:ferrariflQFT. I'm particularly wary of Webber, he doesn't care about ruining his or other's races.

You don't think we can beat them in race trim? I disagree, I think we can. It would be nice to beat them on the track.Even if the car is a bit faster it doesn't mean you have a chance to overtake, you have to be much faster than the car in front to be able to do so.

Alonso wants this win badly..his country is about to win the World cup and i know he feels he needs to win this race..its all about spain today
the start and the first corner, Alonso can start well the F10 has much better race pace than the Bulls watch out for him.

Well, I really hope you're wrong :-)
I do think that the RB will probably be a little faster than us at the very beginning, but starts always have lots of variables so we will see.
Given we are behind, I acknowledge it will be hard to pass the RB, but, I think/hope we will have an advantage at that point in the race. Alonso may be able to pull off a pass then, if we have better brakes, tyres and speed, well, I'm thinking it's possible.
Forza Ferrari and lets hope we both have reason to be happy when the checkered flags is out later on ;-)

Drive through penalty was much too harsh. If Kubica hadn't had retired, then Alonso would have just been ordered to let Kubica through again. But losing about 15 positions due to a drive through penalty? That's ridiculous. Everyone said that, even the BBC commentators.

Again a lost race. Yes, again a stupid decision made after retirement of Kubica (but yes, Alonso should have given his position back to Kubica immediately) and again a stupid safety-car situation. However, being only fourth in the WCC is exactly where we belong in the championship. Bahrein was clearly a one-off and it is dissappointing to me that Ferrari aren't able to get the cars and the strategy in order.

Things seriously need to change to climb in the championship. This obviously isn't working. Yes, sorry, I'm very dissappointed. I want to win because we're the best and don't make any mistakes. Not because others crash, not because of safety cars and not because of pitstop strategies only for tires. Too bad I'm not a fan of RBR (and never will be). I'm already looking forward to next season, hoping Ferrari will really be back and hoping the races are interesting too watch again.

The problem I see is that there is a conflict of interest in how the FIA is organized. You don't see any other sport where, in international competition, the referee is of the same nationality as one of the teams playing. In addition, you have British race stewards deciding a British GP? You only see this in F1.

Its a simple rule, you can't gain positions by cutting chicanes. And thats what Alonso did (irrespective of whether he avoided any accident). He should have backed off when Kubica left him no room and tried again. He should have also given back the position to Kubica as that was clearly inviting a penalty. Poor race craft really..

Yeah, I guess the pitwall was hoping Whiting would let it pass. It's not all their fault anyway. Alonso should have also known better. BUT, it shouldn't have mattered when Kubica retired.
