View Full Version : And now for something completely different. WHAT ABOUT OUR CARS IMPROVED PERFORMANCE?

We know what overshadowed yesterdays results, hell I started two threads myself.
Now back to business, WHAT A FLAMING JOY IT WAS TO SEE THE FERRARI'S PACE.
When I distance myself from "you know what happened", I get rather excited at the way the car performed.
Mclaren were nowhere near us, and Red Bulls wings nearly fell off just trying to keep up with our superior Prancing, no lets make that Galloping, Stallion's.
Draw a line under the other stuff and we have a lot to smile about, the car we were hoping to see at the second race has finally turned up, what other improvements are on their way?

Quite something we should smile about for having such a good car during the whole weekend. But one result can't tell the whole story of this season. Long way to go as rivals will also be restless playing a catch-up on us. Perhaps it takes the rest half of this season to see where we stand.

I expected Ferraris come back in Spa, no sooner than that, so 1-2 in Germany was a very pleasant surprise :-D

Was a great performance from us, really great race pace which left everyone behind, credit to the whole team for turning it around. It was a result we have been due in recent races and now if we can keep up this level we have a real chance of the titles. Hungary being like Monaco without the barriers should suit us as well so hopefully we can keep the wins coming and put real pressure on the Red Bull drivers who I think are pretty weak :-) Not sure about McLaren they seem so up and down at times so hopefully we keep them down ;-)

I've been ribbed by mates about prancing donkeys lately so its gonna be sweet rubbing their noses in it. Perfect result and great to see redbulls actually struggling with our pace

This is what any true Ferrari fan should be focusing on. Both of our drivers today had the Red Bulls and McLarens well and truly beaten. Long may it continue.

It's a shame the team decision has overshadowed our performance this weekend, hopefully a 1-2 in Hungary will get the forum back on a even keel (Alonso first naturally) LOL

After the performance of the car in Hocky, I expect another 1-2 at Hungary (barring any probs of course) - should suit the F10 even more, with its great mechanical grip & traction :thumb:clap

Yes, the F10 now us a very competitive car, as Alonso said!!!! The problem yesterday was Massa, yes Massa!
I´m sure that if Alonso had a free way from the start, then difference between him and Vettel would be greater. We´re talking about 15s!!!!! :-E:-E
In Hungary we don´t have any upgrades, but in Spa......, it will be very, very smooth!! :wave:wave

Another good result next week will help calm the situation down I'm sure. Hope so anyway. There was far more plus points than negatives this weekend and you're right,it's a shame everything's been overshadowed.

Win or lose, I always love the red cars, but they look absolutely stunning in a 1-2 finish! Great job with the updates, Ferrari!!!

Is it just me or does the improved performance have anything to do with the hiring of Pat Fry?

Yeah, let's hope a 1-2 in Hungary will calm down the fuzz over forum. Don't look back, just delivering. Go Ferrari!!!!

Dare I say it, a 1-2 in hungary, the Redfools 3 &4 and we're back in the hunt for the constructors?

I was very happy to see the improvements to the F10...good job Ferrari....1/2 way thru the season, but still a very
long way to go....not sure about Hungary...does that track suit the F10?

It was really great, but let's be cautious, RB still got the pole with Vettel while Webber stuffed his qualifying, and maybe this track suits us better than them, in other tracks they may have a more clear advantage so there's still a huge amount of work to be done. The best part of this is that we have definitely left behind McLaren at least for the next few races, so our chances of winning on track improve with fewer rivals, and we will catch up with them in both championships, FIA allowing.

Great performance from F10. Great 1-2 finish. I"ve always cheered for Alonso, but Massa is a great driver and person. Remarkable gest! What a teamplayer! My hat off to him. I really want Fellipe to win the championship before he will retire...at least once. I couldn't enjoy yesterday's victory as much as I should because seeing Fellipe depresed. Go Ferrari!

the car has the pace and the aero package is great, obviously the best car at this point. sadly, few are discussing the progress.

Quite sad indeed. We are being distracted too much by a senseless controversy about a storm in the tea cup.
I'm quite impressed by the evolution of the car. Both drivers were really fast. The team really did good work with that, i'm curious to see how the cars will be in Hungary.

The performance was awesome! We kept the RB's behind us at all times, we had a good start and clearly outpaced Vettel (don't know what Webber was doing).
We lapped HRT, Virgin, Lotus, STR, Sauber, Renault, Force India, and Mercedes!!!!! :wave:clap

Yep, it was simply fantastic. We controlled the pace of the race from start to finish, Vettel didn't have any chance at all. And it looked like, we had more pace in reserve if it was needed.
Over the whole weekend, we were equal to the Red Bulls in quali pace, and faster than them in race pace, and left the McLarens smoking in our dust!
Now bring on Hungary! :clap
F10 looked stunning and had fantatsic race pace and even better super qualie pace. We are now back at the front. Fantastic work by all the team and all the team back at Maranello.
We controlled dthe race pace brilliantly. With both Mclarens having to turn to fuel save mode, and RBR no answer at all to us. Hungary will suit F10 again, we may have little upgrade. Cannt wait, the Prancing Horse has awoken.

I think it's quite obvious we did not just win , we actually dominated this race, and I actually expect more of that in Hungary.
Team needs this, the fans need this also, and what a fun that'll be come this weekend ;)

The improved performance looked great. I'm sorry for what I've said after Silverstone. But then I was really dissappointed.

Am thrilled by our race performance and its good to see we are back where we belong. But i wouldnt go so far to say that we overshadowed our rivals completely. We are still at Redbulls pace (at best) or perhaps a fraction behind. It was our drivers abilities to make the most of an opp that got us a 1-2.
So hungary is IMO going to be as close as Hockenheim was. If you throw webber into the fray it could be a 4 way drag for the pole position come qualifying day. And who knows what the McCheaters are planning.
So we need to be cautiously optimistic. :-D
Is it just me or does the improved performance have anything to do with the hiring of Pat Fry?
oh yeah! hehe McFDuct informant

The car looks great almost as quick as red bull in quali and even quicker than them in the race! :-D I hope we see the 1-2 in Hungary again. Most teams won't have any updates to the car since there is only 1 week to prepare the car and we look as if we have the best car on the grid at the moment. Alonso is great at Hungary and so is Massa so hoping for another good result.
