• Dry running for Ferrari at Jerez

Fernando AlonsoDry weather was very much welcomed by Ferrari on Friday as they took to the Jerez circuit once again in Spain. After the previous two days had been affected by rain and high winds the sun shining was a welcome change for the team and Fernando Alonso who was at the wheel of the F10. Alonso will be running the final two days of this test as he carries on the work already completed by Felipe Massa this week.

The track was wet still in the morning but with clear skies above it was soon to dry out as Alonso and the team finally got in some dry weather running. Alonso's main task today was to once again work with the car set up and it's handling behaviour with the new Bridgestone tyres as well as vastly different fuel loads. After some mechanical gremlins had affected Massa in the previous two days it was good to see a problem free day for Ferrari and Alonso as the Spanish driver completed a total of 132 laps with his best time being 1.20.115

"I’m satisfied by today, because we could drive many miles on the dry," Fernando said. "The results are positive, because we got to know the new car better. Also my place in the team is improving from day to day, as is my feeling for the F10. We can confirm that step by step we’re arriving at 100%."

    Today’s lap times:

    Webber 1.19.299 (115 laps)
    Alonso 1.20.115 (132)
    Button 1.20.394 (101)
