:goodpoint
To my knowledge, most if not all the engine components previously used can still be used later in the season if I'm not mistaken. So, while the situation looks dire, it really isn't all that bad if...
Or did they? We all know Merc had the same tire issues in 2013. What's to say they never really solved those problems? 2014-16 they were so far ahead they could pull a lead and coast the rest of the...
The good thing is Ferrari just need to talk to Gene before Spa and remind him who supplies them their engines and that Romain needs to have a safe start...
Cornetto?
Let's at least be "fair and balanced" here. At least Toto is consistent, he DID after all complain when a certain team tested tires secretly, in season in 2013...Oh, wait...
How much you want to bet if it were the Merc he was talking about he'd try and extrapolate out their fastest possible time instead of going with the "we'll go with the 19.3 as the benchmark?
I'm surprised based on how there relationship seemed to be that Rocky didn't come over with him.
Updates to the story indicate Ross would take over as Chief Sporting or Technical Officer. Is not replacing Bernie.
Reading this drives me crazy. Sergio should have nothing to do with the decision making process of the F1 team IMHO.
Is it wrong I kinda wish they were going to curve like that? I kinda like the look. Although I thought we were going back to the lower and wider 2008 spec wing.
We're also testing on slicks. Just like Merc and Red Bull BOTH will be testing both slicks and wets. But, continue to post like we only selected to test on wets...
Anyone else seen the stories going around about his wife passing away? Meningitis I think I saw.
What did Maurizio have with his coffee this morning?
:roll
I assume the front wing is last years and we should be seeing something updated by next test. I'm wondering if they'll go after a similar bargeboard/floor that Merc is now using as well at some point.
I took his post as testing the engine to the limits of fuel, not life of the engine. Maybe I'm wrong though.
I'm assuming the sounds came from the new exhaust for the blow off, but coming off throttle that thing almost sounded like an exhaust blown engine from 2011, or traction control. Wasn't expecting...
Maybe I'm being overly sensitive here, but REALLY don't like this announcement by Luca. The whole I COULD go into it more, but I won't just doesn't come across well.
F2003-GA?
I don't think it matters. It will definitely launch with the 2015 spec front and rear wings and I wouldn't even be surprised to see it launch with the 2015 nose either.
Is Aston confirmed next year yet?
He was talking about the MGU-K (which in Ferrari is at the back of the engine) and his prediction is that it will move to the front of the block as with the other three manufacturers.
Do you know if that was full PU? Or ICE only? I thought I saw somewhere Merc was still more efficient on the energy harvesting side which was giving them advantage over us as well.
In all honesty here because I only have limited knowledge on Ilien and Ilmor. But, what other really succesful engines did he develop outside the Merc 500i for the 94 500?
