If Alonso's deal is actually done, there is no reason McLaren couldn't announce that, and that the selection of the second drive will be made at a later date. It would make lining up big money...

Since his deal with Macca has not been finalized, for whatever reason, could be Macca, could Be Alonso holding things up. Why should Macca fire one of its drivers when the ink is not dry on Alonso's...

I don't feel pity for Button. But, the way Macca is acting makes every team in F1 look bad. You may extend that to Fernando Alonso as well.
