Ferrari Plans New 'Halo Car'
Ferrari has been missing its 'halo-car' in the line-up ever since it stopped the Enzo production a few years ago. A new supercar is long overdue from the celebrated Italian marque and they have heard it finally. It is rumoured that the Italians are hard at work to bring out a new supercar by 2010 that will most probably be the successor of the legendary Enzo.
Industry insiders say that the new supercar will be based on the Millechili concept which was merely a display model made out of plastic and cardboard. Based on a slightly longer version of the F430's aluminium space frame, the next-generation Enzo will feature most of Ferrari's F1 know-how and an all-new 600 horsepower V10 powerplant. The result is easy to comprehend – one o the world's best performing road cars!
Production is expected to begin in 2010 with a total production run of about 300 exclusive cars. Pricing is not official yet, but expect something northwards of $500,000 (AED1,850,000).
