We tried this last year, and we still had a mountain to climb after the first race.
I've said this before, and my opinion is still the same after seeing what happened this season. Red Bulls were improving towards the end of last season, despite the Brawns running away with the title, and it wasn't for giggles or killing free time. They build up that momentum and carry it forward to this season, and look where they are now.
If we leave this season in bad shape, we'll need a miracle beyond flying pigs and unicorns to jump back to the top next season. We've done it before, focus on this year, but not even these early development could bring us the abracadabra we needed. We almost practically started off where we left this season if not for the first race.
I believe Albert Einstein once said something along the lines of, insanity is when we keep doing the same thing expecting a different result :-p
