French radio said multiple fractures to his left leg, left arm and fractured femur. The safety rail was in his car after the crash.

I hope its not that bad though, there should be a press conference from the hospital in about 2 hours from now.

    Not his first either...

It should be remembered that Robert suffered a serious arm injury in 2003 when he was the passenger in a serious road accident. He had 18 titanium bolts fitted into his arm
    Hope he's OK

Hope he's ok, that's really not good...

ANSA said the 26-year-old was heading to the start of the Ronde di Andora rally near Genoa in a Skoda Fabia when the car went off the road and hit a wall.
He was only heading to the start...? That is a bit odd...

    From the BBC

Formula 1 star Robert Kubica has suffered fractures to his left arm and left leg after a high-speed rally crash in Italy, BBC Sport understands.

Wow, awful news. Let's hope he recovers quickly.

I wonder who will take over his seat at Lotus Renault? Bruno Senna maybe? Another Senna in a JPS coloured Lotus...

Lost the use of a hand...?

What on earth happened, he was only on his way to the start of the stage...

Many of our station said that it's bad. Fans of our country are very worried, but there are also many rumors. Robert's dad also does not know anything yet.

It was the beginning of the rally and Robert hit the wall of the church

they said that the hand was "completamente spappolata" and they don't if he i will use it anymore. I don't know how to translate it.. however it's really bad word spappolata.

Sorry to hear this news, hopefully things are not as bad as initially reported. Mind you with a fractured femur he is going to be out for at least two months if not more. Everything crossed he is ok.

Let's wait and hear what Renault say, you know with these nasty accidents things do get a bit sensationalised at times.

Latest that I have read is that it is really not OK, but very serious.
I can only hope that Robert is going to get well again and be able to pick up his favourite sport one day.
That he will not be present at the start of the season looks quite clear to me.

I used to be a paramedic and that looks bad to be honest. They are what we called bagging him (helping him breath) I hope i am wrong but it looks bad from those pictures.
God hell him and hopefully we see him on the track again

There are alao rumours flying about that he has sustained internal injuries, but Robert Kubica's father has refuted them. So best to wait from news from Renault I think.

I think it has been confirmed that he broke his left arm and leg. And there are added complications that his left arm has some metal bolts in it after an accident in 2003.

Doesnt look good, but get well soon Robert.

Doesn't look like he sustained any serious head injuries which is a good thing.

In accidents like this, the most important thing is they survive it with no permanent injuries. Broken bones can heal and racing can wait.

Hopefully he'll recover soon, but most important thing is he survived
