@ Gerhard Berger, Yes, I agree completely. Aero was more of Aldo Costa's baby and he was very protective of the design and developments. The Aero department has been much expanded and they have many project to work on now. Tombazis was at his wits end with Costa and the conflict lead to Costa being asked to leave his position. Rory Byrne is an Aero Master and more like the Yoda of Aero in Formula One! Newey is the evil counter part to Byrne. From what Luca has said about their meeting, Newey and his family sound like they are very pompus and bias against Itailians. Newey is not a god, just one man. If Ferrari build the right team of Engineers then they will be fine.

    Ciao.

    Forza Ferrari!!!

Guys, this is not about knowing the laws of aerodynamics, or knowing how to gather data from a windtunnel, this is about being *highly* creative in the field of aerodynamics. Only Rory Byrne and Adrian Newey can do that at the moment, and there are no other masters in sight.

Just look at what Adrian Newey has done since 2009, that's what I'm talking about.

whats this i'm hearing. Nikolas Tombazis, one of the best Aerodynamicists around, turned McLaren from dog to dominator when not breaking down, and with an AEROnautical degree from uni, was used as a MECCHANICAL engineer???

thats like telling Messi to be a goalie, or Ronaldo to pass the ball () what went on there?

In F1 everybody can be creative,as Stefano said before small teams also have some interesting solutions.
I do not think F duct was Newey or Rory innovation, was it?

Edit: This is the guy who made the sketch. https://twitter.com/#!/Clausell_F1
Even though that's just a journos sketch our nose will not look anything like it, it's actually an illegal nose and the journo has not understood the nose height regulations properly. F1 technical boards actually have a proper explanation HERE if your into the technical side and also have some diagrams of possible 2012 noses.

Both F2001 and F2002 have nicer rear wings than today's F1 car

    - Ferrari have now been tested in a wind tunnel designed by the team updates the new directed by Rory Byrne. To be precise it is a bottom coupled to a particular speaker conceptually different from those used so far. Computers at the new changes have resulted in an improvement of 8 points aerodynamic

    - Hirohide Hamashima is studying since he was hired by Ferrari F150 of the telemetry data to try to understand the causes of the problems that the car was in the best way to exploit the Pirelli tires especially those with a harder compound. During the first test sessions Hamashima will not be traveling at the circuit but will remain in his workshop in Maranello to analyze all the data sent in real time from the track.

Thanks for the info. Very interesting - didn't know that Costa and Tombazis didn't get on. Also from reading Alonso's interview, he does not exactly seem upset that Costa has left and Fry has replaced him.

Byrne is a legend. You're right - Newey is a brilliant engineer but he is not god! People seem to have short memories and forget that he went over 10 years without winning anything. In fact Mclaren saw a huge increase in reliablity once Newey left them in 2006 and also won the title after he had left.

    0.320 second = 8 point , 25 point downforce = 1 second

If this rumor is true we will gain 0.320-0.4 tenths of a second so it means 8 points downforce mate

    - The aim of Ferrari with Hirohide Hamashima is to be the team that will take advantage of the Pirelli, Heal help with suspensions
    - Upon seeing the first results of the new fund in the tunnel and all unfinished test, Tombazis and Fry went to talk to Corrado Lanzone
    - Soon Tombazis came out and went to his apartment while talking to Pat Fry Corrado Lanzone continued for some time;)
    - So far, no tests have been completed, so no final results, except in the hands of Tombazis initial, Byrne and Fry
    - As are the final results of the test in the tunnel, trying to learn if given the 8 points in the CFD simulations

Success is simple. Do what's right, the right way, at the right time.

IMO Old Ferrari's major difference in appearance from the new Ferraris (2009, 2010, 2011) is color. Old Ferraris have brighter red color than new Ferraris.

    In other word:
    Old Ferraris has-----------------------------30 % orange color + 70 % red color
    New Ferraris (2009, 2010, 2011)-------------20 % pink color + 80 % red color
