Some of you guys are complaining to much. Put your trust in what SF have brought to Singapore. It looks very promising...

Maybe it looks promising, I'm asking for news as they have supposedly tested the new parts in FP1 and Marc Gené said nothing during the practice on the Spanish TV. I'm not worried but 1 second off the pace is a lot these days. Even for FP1.

Did they test the new parts, all of them? maybe doing it in FP2.

And already close to 7 tenths down even despite all the upgrades...does anybody know whether McLaren brought anything big to this weekend??

They've replaced the new RW with an older RW in FP2. Looks like the new RW isn't working as they thought it would.

The older RW gave better times in FP2.

Marc Gené didn't say it openly but reading between the lines it seems some new parts didn't work as expected. Looks like it'll be a damage limitation GP, podium is reachable though.

The signs aren't good thus far, especially at a circuit where grid position counts for a lot. I take solace in the fact that it's only practice and that times aren't representative of true pace. But if there is some truth in the times then it is going to be a damage limitation weekend. Gaining a positive result here would totally depend on the weather during qualifying and for that reason i hope it rains because the car looked in good nick with the intermediates on.

What is all the fuss about!!Ferrari do not have a new Rear wing for this race...The "NEW" wing is the one used at the Monaco Grand prix..There is no difference btw the two. They shifted to a different version maybe because of setup issues...They do have a slightly modified version of the current exhaust, and there doesn seem to be any changes made to the front wing..

Our cars look not good. Fernaldo pushed very hard and we are still 0.5s off the pace.
    RBR looks very strong.
Parts dont work as well as expected. It's not enough to get the pole.

F2012 isn't fast for the pole position but have a best race pace. We need to win tomorrow not today.

your guess is as good as mine....but until ferrari sort out their wind tunnel issues (because obviously we see a great load of differences the team are finding on most of these updates between wind tunnel and real track data).

anyways let's hope for the best this year, and hopefully next year we'll come back really strong...THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!!!!
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Would you rather the team brought NO updates at all? Do you not think that it's better to TRY with something new?

I give up with all the doom and gloom and negativity. Same every flippin' race weekend when quali or the race is disappointing.

Last street circuit, Alonso qualified 11th (Valencia). Now he has qualified 5th. In my dictionary, 11 to 5th is due to upgrades.

Right. In FP1, FP2, F2012-Alonso, has a great race pace in a race simulation. Tire degradation is more or less the same with rbr. Fernando, in Q3, save supersoft, so we must be patient until tomorrow, the judgement day.

I don't think Alonso have any super soft left. He used 2 in qualifying 2, and 1 more in the last round.
