Won't be as boring as watching the Red Bulls drive into the distance!

Seriously now, I'll miss it but I won't miss getting incredibly frustrated every other weekend. It will just all go on my dire football team instead!

Thanks for another season guys, here's to a better 2012.

Winter boredom? For once I'm actually looking forward to it. I have my finals Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week and then I plan to have the best December ever!! Then it will be all topped off by a live concert by none other than Sir Paul McCartney in Liverpool, then Christmas!!!

I'm going to watch some vintage races from the 70's. Way better than watching anything from this season.

Nice try by Ferrari and both our drivers Alonso and Massa. Proud of them. Better luck next year

I have both Season 94 and 95, unfortunately I can't find any of the later season. Last year I spend the break watching Season 94 races every Sunday. Talk about severe withdrawal

Does anybody here have a PS3 and F1 2011? That's gonna get me through the 3 months!

We should set up a lobby etc with the other PS3 players!

Hopefully it will be broadcasted on Eurosport 2. I'll have to check and remember.

Anyone here planning to go to one of the winter testing sessions? I'm considering to go to Italy or Spain in february but I dont know if it is possible and affordable for me yet. Testing is a great chance to see the cars on the track for almost the whole day.

The BBC have updated their driver profile's:

    Massa
    BBC COMMENTATOR MARTIN BRUNDLE'S VIEW
"It's been a difficult season for the popular Brazilian.
"Massa initially said that the new Pirelli tyres suited him and he has definitely looked more punchy and fast behind the wheel.
"His problem is that Alonso effectively 'owns' the team
"What Massa absolutely needs to do now is to pick up the pieces and show he still has what it takes.
"Without a podium in 2011, he will have to deliver much better speed and results in 2012 if Ferrari is to continue to stand by him. They are watching closely."
    Alonso
    BBC COMMENTATOR MARTIN BRUNDLE'S VIEW
"Fernando Alonso is loved by the Ferrari team and fans and this has developed further in 2011.
"The Spaniard has the maturity and experience to really drive the team forward, both in and out of the car. His skill and determination is undiminished.
"A victory at Silverstone confirms he never gives up, and that is why the team have re-signed him on an even longer term deal.
"He will win again, but if the team don't create a 2012 car which is fast out of the box and rewards his workload, they will incur his wrath for sure."

It just occured to me that if all Ferrari fans stop drinking Red Bull over the winter they might not have as much money to promote their double world champion and not bad for a No 2 driver as much next year

December will be boring. There is no F1 at that time at all. From January we will see car launches, then testing will start, and soon after first race of the season. I am really glad this season is over, though another one wasted, but still hopping next one will be better.

Heres something to pass the time before 2012 kicks off, ie if you're up to it.

    http://metmania.com/dl.htm

Firstly, its in japanese so use google translate, not perfect but pretty easy to figure out. Its a do it yourself site for paper models of F1 cars. Scroll down, choose the model you want (there are quite a few), download the template, print it out on A4 size photo paper and get to work. All instructions are given on the website under each model. Best of all its all FREE.

For the slightly more ambitious metmania has a 1 feet model of a ferrari 248f1 too, Its in japanese (once again, google translate is your slightly retarded friend ) and a little more complicated but with a little effort still possible. I'd suggest starting with the older f1 cars though as they're simpler and then try these after you've got some experience.
Here are the links for the 248f1 pdf files, you need both:
    http://metmania.com/dif1/248f1/248f1_01.pdf
http://metmania.com/dif1/248f1/248f1_02.pdf (password for pdf file is"metmania" without quotes)

    Instructions:
    http://blog.metmania.com/?eid=902151

Download the pdf file and use translate to figure out the instructions.

For those that want to delve deeper heres an english forum exclusively for this sorta stuff. lotsa resources.

    Some pics

That'll probably keep you busy for the winter . good luck.
credit to Neuz on autosport forum for bringing this to my attention .
