On Friday after its launch, the Ferrari F2012 set off on its journey to make its track debut on the start of the first pre-season testing session, which is scheduled for February 7 in Jerez, Spain.

The F2012 was due to be officially launched at Maranello but this was cancelled following severe snowfall in the area. The team broadcasted a live internet presentation and published the first images of the F2012 on its official website instead. After the online launch, the car was then returned to the Car Assembly area where the final touches were put on it.

Then in the evening after the launch, the car was loaded onto a high-speed transporter which then left for Jerez. The distance from Maranello to Jerez is approximately 2,200 kilometres and the car is scheduled to arrive at the circuit tomorrow night.

Several members of the team will already be in Jerez awaiting the arrival of the F2012, while most of the team members will fly out of Bologna on Sunday morning.
