But there may be some positive signs in it. We have to remember that the track is still cold, or at least colder than any GP race weekend would ever be. And last year, low temperature has been a huge nightmare for us.

If we're able to work the tires in these cold temps, it shows we're moving in the right direction to solving our tire issue.
So it was soft tires. Things are looking good!

Unfortunately not, Nico was running 2011 machinery. But thanks, anyway.

Ferrari tell Sky Sports News that they are still confident their new car can deliver and deny that Fernando's table-topping time this morning was set on 'a glory run'

I love the fact that Ferrari has to defend their lap time this morning as not being a glory-run. If you were going to do a glory run Im sure you wouldn't do it while the track is cold-as and without lots of rubber down. Either that or else we don't know much about how and when to do our glory runs - perhaps we should go talk to Williams

autosport live keeps repeating every 5 minutes 'Fry said he is not happy with the car' like a mantra. They probably need to cling on some hope....

Things are going better today! No problems with the car, enough mileage so far, reasonably good laps with such low temperature! I think it's a very promising day. Hope to continue till the end...

Really can't stand those type of anti-Ferrari sites. Even most private F1 forums are filled with dwelling goblins doing rain dances for Ferrari to fail.

So glad I found this place recently.

i think that 1:18.877 came from a used soft tyre. with more than nine laps worth of fuel in the car. you are right its NO glory run and there not much rubber down yet. expect for more!!!!

I read somewhere that they are going to rename their site to: McLAutosport.Ron.

BBC Sport's chief F1 writer Andrew Benson

"Well, well. Early the morning after Ferrari said they were 'not happy' with their new car, guess what? Fernando Alonso only goes and bangs in a one minute 19.289 seconds lap - miles quicker than anyone else so far today and a sniff faster than Sebastian Vettel managed in the Red Bull on Thursday. OK, it was on a three-lap run but so was Vettel's, although whle Alonso was on soft tyres I don't know what Vettel was using. None of it is directly comparable, of course, and Ferrari are still insisting they are not chasing performance. Was it aimed at boosting morale? Or is the car genuinely quite good after all? Certainly Lewis Hamilton believes it will be. 'Look at Ferrari,' he said on Thursday, 'I'm sure they have a fast car but they aren't showing any cards.' It's all a big game of poker at the moment. To emphasise that, Hamilton gets into the 19s, and Alonso promptly does a 18.877."

    2. Red Fools - Good, but Red Cows is better.

    Cheers!

I think they have stopped reporting at all. They are now heading to a church near the track to pray for their beloved team(s).

    From me to him.

The arrogance of some people is absolutely overwhelming isn't it? I hate it when people sell themselves as impartial bloggers or even worse still impartial reporters of "news" when it's pretty clear its all one big self ego massage and just a chance to big yourself up at the expense of others. Let them enjoy their "silver toys" is what i say and we can all just laugh while they do it

It amazes me that such people get the followers that they do!
