In last years quali Paul di resta was the quickest of the Force india and his time was 1:24.332 on soft.
    This year he managed 1:23.141.
That means they are definitely qucker than last year.
If I remember correctly, a lot of cars was faster here in testing than in qualifying last year.

But still, I believe that this year's cars will be quicker.

11:46 The two fastest times so far were set on super softs. We thought you'd like to know. Vettel's time, we believe, was set on mediums

Last year they were faster in testing but on super-soft in testing than on soft in the GP qualifying.
But this year they are faster on the same tyres.

working on outlap procedure perhaps, just to see how the tire would react and warm up on the first lap and settle down to race pace on the 2nd!

Finish the a.m. On 52 laps. That 's a pretty good number considering the xpressed aim of 100 p.d.
No hitches requiring sitting around for hours in the garage is a good sign - if like me you're simple minded - and a definite improvement on Jerez and even yesterday. I assume it means ŵe're getting on with what we Want to get on with. Hooray!!

Alonso looks to be struggling a bit. I cant hear or see timing but his car is all kinds of unstable through turns 1/2/3. Snap oversteer too.

But now we solved the cooling system issue now we can work on improving balance and testing aerodynamic parts.

Looks like is on track for a much needed 100 Lap Day! That would be very data for the team. I saw the video of Senior Aerodynamics Engineer, Alex Cinelli on youtube. It was a very good look at how and what the team tests regarding the Aerodynamic aspect of the race car and how they develop the race car. They have SOOOO many Engineers (and not just the few we hear about in the media) reviewing all kinds of data to understanding the Downforce vs. Drag affect on the race car in "real time" conditions. Very interesting to hear one of their top Engineer's explaining the happenings of the team right now.

    Ciao.

it's been almost 30 min and alonso is still in the garage...what's going on?
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.
