we leading in lap count for the first time this year, now that's a refreshing sight, never mind the lap time...that doesn't count yet
"Aerodynamics is for those who cannot manufacture good engines."
Last year we were the team with the most km during winter testing and look were that got us ...
I would say the most important marker right now would be our drivers comments after the last test session.
Until now they were clearly not happy in Jerez, Alonso still not happy in Barcelona(but Massa was more happy after some setup changes in the last two days, but he cautioned that there is still lots of work to do).
So we've been circumspect until now let's see what they have to say after the last test.
10:20 Red flag.
It's for Schumacher in the gravel.
Two McLaren mechanics have been posted in front/beside the Ferrari pit looking intensely at the rear of the F2012...
MCLAREN IS ALWAYS A CHEATER
It's part of the game...
nice photos of the beast!!!!!!
the person on the ferrari official twitter account seems to be in good mood today
Alonso still doing 1.23's still doing media laps
Joseluisf1
Suspension modifications -> Ok, setup & new software -> Ok, new pieces in the back -> in testing. More new parts and another setup soon;)
Slight improvement in traction & grip & balance. Tire management, apparently much improved, very good mechanical traction
What I don't get it ... how can we have very good mechanical traction and still have problems with traction in slow corners ???
I'm very close to calling BS on that guy or maybe I am missing something.

Sometimes I wonder if Insideferrari and JoseLuisf1 are tweeting sitting next to each other.
Meanwhile, it either says something or just nothing that Alonso, Schumacher and Raikkonen have reputedly spared a F1 podium on five occasions and Fernando has stood on the top step on every occasion. He's F1's first among equals. (PG)
Very similar tyre degradation (hards) on Vettels and Alonsos cars:
Vettel:
22 1:24.015 -2.563
23 1:32.892 +8.877
24 1:24.264 -8.628
25 1:24.541 +0.277
Alonso:
10 1:23.447 -19.839
11 1:23.595 +0.148
12 1:23.923 +0.328
13 1:24.164 +0.241
Alonso just did it without cool-down lap like Vettel did...
Yes i was confused by that too. He says "slight improvement in traction" and then "very good mechanical traction". Maybe something was lost in translation.
Apparently they are testing the new front wing..
I seem to remember we said we have problem with traction out of corners but maybe you are right, it would make sense because you need good mechanical traction on the slow corners(where there not much aero downforce to keep the car glued to the track, but starting from med -> high speed corners than the aero kicks in and that is how you generate the DF needed to stay on track).
So medium corners it is than
On the bright side, if we have so good mechanical traction at least we'll have a chance at tracks like Monaco, Singapore, Canada and Monza

joseluis and hector clausell are discussing about ferraris new front wing like two engineers working for the team
i cant understand how all this people know so much of data that should be secret.
Quick question. Has Ferrari caused any red flags so far during winter testing?
