I don't mind them, reminds me of the classic german boxhead Dekra caps of the 90's ;) I would definitely buy one if they were available to the public.

By the way, can someone please link me to the merchandise thread? I can't find it for the life of me. Cheers

For years I wore my fedora with the brim up like Vito Coreleone, where most folks bent the brim. Just a matter of what one likes.

I think both these guys believe there is a certain aerodynamic advantage and CoG benefit out of these caps
maybe it keeps them planted on the truck bed during the parade?

    Ricciardo's cap = Shocking
    Kimi's cap = Shocking
    Nando's cap = Shocking

Reminds me of the Nacional caps that Ayton Senna used to wear after he raced.

Sounds like the look is coming into fashion...........gr8 thread folks, gives us something to grin about, takes the mind (temporarily) off the hopeful step up we need this weekend.

    Funny as........:)

What happened to the merchandise thread :( im getting worried now ...

The flat peak cap was a standard design for F1 in the 80's and 90's wasn't it? I don't mind the look personally

It's trendy now, soon they will leave the tags and labels on or hanging. Maybe even the pants on the bum look will be making an appearance.

I am sure there is some aerodynamic dis-advantage to wearing a cap like that.....consider the brim to be the front wings and since Alonso and Kimmi's front wings are not flexing/drooping/bending they ended up 2nd and 3rd while Maldonado came 1st because his wings were drooped.

Hopefully next update package for Ferrari would include a cap with a more drooping brim
