If it's really true, than McLaren is not pushing as hard as Alonso is, or some kind of mirracle just happened and we are fast.

I'd say we will be 7-8 tenths off from Pole, which is not too bad

Hamilton was only 1 tenth quicker on medium than on hard.

Edit: now he is 0.5 faster.

    Good estimation

Right now Alonso is +0.72 from Lewis who also set the lap on medium.

That is what I am saying. They are not pushing it or we are suddenly, thanks to some dark magic, extremely competitive.

We were 1 second off on a shorter lap in Australia. Here lap is longer so should be over 1 second. If less than 1 second we have made loads of time on set up. A race must be worth more than 12 test days.

Not necessary, it depends on track layout

Looks ok to me and with no updates. Set up plus upgrades is going to put us near the top over next 3 races.

    Autosport:
Alonso's pace looks good at the moment, lapping in 1m43s for Ferrari on mediums.

Again, the car doesn't look too bad on high fuel, at least in Alonso's hands. We'll see tomorrow.

Pretty sure everyone does a low fuel run for qualifying. There's no reason to dump a load of fuel in Massa car for the entire P2 and keep him in the dark about qualifying pace.

Just a note. On his very last lap, FM did better than JB times in S1 and S2. Then, on sector 3 (traffic? abandoned lap?) he was more than 2.5 seconds slower (even from HRT!)
