Ryan Dalziel joins SRT Viper for Le Mans 24 Hours

Sportscar stalwart Ryan Dalziel will race at the Le Mans 24 Hours this year with the SRT Motorsports Viper team.
The US-based Scot, who won the LMP2 class at Le Mans with the Starworks squad last, will race one of the two SRT Viper GTS-Rs in the 24 Hours and at the Sebring and Road Atlanta American Le Mans Series enduros.
He will replace IndyCar champion Ryan Hunter-Reay, who is unavailable for two of the three events.
Dalziel, who is taking part in this week's official ALMS test at Sebring with the SRT team, said: "I am really excited about this opportunity. It was something we started to discuss last year but the timing just didn't work out with my 2012 commitments."
Beth Paretta, the SRT director in charge of motorsport, said: "Ryan Dalziel is an excellent addition to our SRT Motorsports team. He's an accomplished racer and his intensity complements the enthusiasm of our team."
The Viper line-up is unchanged apart from Hunter-Reay's replacement with Dalziel.
Tommy Kendall, Marc Goossens, Kuno Wittmer, Dominik Farnbacher and Jonathan Bomarito will all return to the Riley Technologies-run Viper team, although the final line-ups have yet to be determined.
Dalziel will continue with Starworks P2 in the World Endurance Championship and is scheduled to complete in all the events bar the rounds at Le Mans and Fuji, which clashes with Petit.
