Rumours and 2015 Silly Season - all Vettel/Alonso chat in here please

With increasing pressure on Massa due to his lack of consistency, there is a significant chance we will have a new Ferrari driver next season.

Raikkonen will be out of contract with Lotus, and although his likely destination will be Red Bull, I was interested to know how many people would like to see him back with Ferrari next season alongside Alonso?

For me that would be a Ferrari dream team...!!

No, but the most important thing is that Montezemolo will never hire him again because it will make him look bad.

Its interesting that the question is recieving a such a negative response when you take into consideration Raikkonen's form since his return. Also the fact that he was the last guy to win a WDC for us.

I came across this article today (which was for last year) which made me think about it:

    http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/101619

But I agree. Hell is likely to freeze before it happens.

Ah the old he won the last WDC for us point LOL.

Being the last driver we sacked and paid to go far away is more relevant to Kimi coming back

Actually the WDC mention is a vaild point. It outlines the calibre of driver he is.. and in 2007 ferrari won against stiff competition.

But his recent form is the main reason for the question. Raikkonen is currently the most consistent driver in F1 history.

The WDC part was more of a footnote.

So please don't attempt to focus on that.

He won in 2007 with a big thanks to McLaren imploding, most consistent driver in F1 history? any source for that one?

It goes Hulk, resigning Felipe for me in order of preference. Kimi doesn't come into it. He wouldn't come back, and we would take him back.

Well, Kimi is more than happy in Lotus. He is not even planning for Red Bull. I don't think he will come in Ferrari. Hulk or Di Resta is a perfect choice for freeari at this stage. But removing Massa, won't be a good move.

I hope Ferrari signs DiResta. Massa is done, lets move on.

With points down to 10 place, compared to 6 places for most of Schumi's days?

LOL. Schumi used to score within 6th race positions, and Kimi scores within 10th race positions. In those days, if Schumi would have finished 7th, then he would have got no point in that race. But now, things have changed, up to P10 will get points.

Schumi is the best F1 driver in the world. Hardly anybody dares to break it.

Fair point on that one Greig. At least the most consistent point scorer in today's F1.

Back in the real world, I would like to see the Hulk in the red overalls.

    I voted no.
Not because i dont like Kimi or anything of that sort. I think he is a very fast driver and would really give Fernando a run for his money. But he seems to lack the zest that you see in both our current drivers. He seems best suited for Lotus, failing which it should be RBR. At least that will actually show us how good Vettel is (or not).

    My two cents:

Would love to see Kimi back at Ferrari (agree with Yoda, that would be a dream team)!
Kimi has proven himself to be a consistent point scorer, in a "lesser" team!

Having said that, thanks to the issues we Italians have with pride, that ain't gonna happen!!

yes this discussion has happend so many times that it's impossible to count how many, i don't understand why this thing has to be discussed again to reach the same conclusion - it will never ever happen. that's it
