Sadly, that's how jouranlism works in these days. Most of them are an absolute human waste. And total embargo on news about Schumi is not helping as well. The demand for even a rumour is huge and lots of newspapers / magazines would pay a lot of money for something like this.

Honestly, I don't get the embargo at all. Sure, it's hard for them, but dealing with this **** has to make it even harder. Why not just tell the real state of Michael and make a stop to things like this happening again.

    Todays New York Daily News:
Schumacher team: Stolen info hawked. F1 racing legend Michael Schumacher has had his confidential medical records stolen, and someone is trying to peddle them for a lofty sum. " For several days, stolen documents and data are being offered for sale," said Sabine Kehm. " We cannot judge if these documents are autentic. However the documents are clearly stolen. The theft has been reported. The authorities are involved. " German newspaper Bild reported that the papers may have been copied at offices of a company that was holding them in Grenoble France. Media outlets are being offered the records for a minimum of $67,000. Schumacher 45, was in a coma untill Kehm said recently his condition has improved enough for him to be transfered to a hospital near his mansion in Switzerland.

Are you directing that quote at the NY Daily News for reporting that article?

They ought to be but I don't know for sure--maybe there's a loophole that lets them protect their sources. I see your point, though.

Revealed: What happened during Schumacher's secret hospital transfer

Formula One champion Michael Schumacher was conscious and had his eyes open during his top-secret transfer from a French hospital to a facility in Switzerland, Swiss newspaper Blick reported.

Schumacher was moved on Monday after emerging from a coma following his devastating ski accident in December.

The paper said he had his eyes open for most of the journey by private ambulance, which was conducted like a secret service operation.

Schumacher did not speak, but he communicated by nodding his head during the 200-kilometre (125-mile) journey, the paper said.

The ambulance company was not told the identity of its world-famous passenger in advance, and staff had to give up their mobile phones when they came into contact with him.

Montezemolo opens dealership in Munich. Lengthy applause from 500 guests in support of Michael

    Maranello, 27th June

A new message of encouragement for Michael Schumacher was delivered by Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo when yesterday evening, in front of 500 guests, he opened the new Munich dealership, Autohaus Saggio.

The President spoke at the opening of the new facility and his foremost thought was that, from Germany, he wanted to yet again send Michael all best wishes. The guests joined in with a long round of heartfelt applause. Montezemolo stressed the important ties that have exist between the Maranello marque and Germany, always a key market for the company, with many owners and collectors, some of them present at the opening of the new dealership. It is built in the Bauhaus style featuring the highest levels of architecture and technology.

Also starring alongside the President last night was the Ferrari range which was much admired by the guests who appreciated its exclusivity, style and technology. Among the cars on show, the most attention went to the new Ferrari California T, the turbo engine GT car first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Michael Schumacher latest: F1 legend ‘will remain an invalid for the rest of his life
Michael Schumacher “will remain an invalid for the rest of his life”, said leading medical expert Erich Riederer.

The F1 racing driver emerged from his coma on 16 June, yet numerous top medical practitioners have said since that his prognosis might not be as significant as some may have thought.

“He will remain an invalid all his life and will always remain dependent on others' help,” said neurology specialist Riederer.

He added that Schumacher will have “permanent” damage and that it will be a ”success“ if he manages to sit up unaided within the next three months and operate an electric wheelchair within six months.

However, he said that his coma awakening was still “positive”.

"It is an incredibly positive message when someone wakes up after being in a coma for half a year,” he continued.

“For him it is positive, but also for his family, this is hugely important.”

Earlier this week, Schumacher’s former doctor, Gary Hartstein, warned that the former F1 champion could be in a “minimally conscious state”.

His view reaffirms the words of medical experts, who said that only one in ten patients who spent so many months in a coma went on to recover all or most of their mental and physical capacities.

Schuamacher’s manager, Sabine Kehm, released a statement on 16 June, which said that “he is not in a coma anymore” and will “continue his long phase of rehabilitation”.

He has since been moved from Grenoble university hospital in France to Lausanne hospital in Switzerland, nearer to this family home.

The racing car driver suffered severe head injuries after a skiing accident in French ski resort, Meribel on 29 December 2013.

    Corinna smiles again!

As Michael Schumacher’s fans hold out hope, no official news has been heard from the Formula 1 great’s camp for three weeks.

It was mid June when his management announced the 45-year-old had finally emerged from his six-month long coma and been moved to a rehabilitation clinic.

But some continued to fear that the legendary former Mercedes and Ferrari driver might still not be facing a favourable outcome, in the wake of brain injuries sustained in his late December skiing fall.

However, ‘hope dies last’. And, according to the major German newspaper Bild, Schumacher’s wife is showing the first signs of optimism and happiness since the dark early hours of her husband’s hardest battle.

“Corinna smiles again!” the report exclaimed, publishing photos of Corinna Schumacher making eye-contact with the lens and grinning broadly.

This is being reported by a few places - can't be totally sure if it's legitimate or not but I see no reason why it's not.

Wife says Schumacher moving forwards in rehab

    Source: Auto 123

Corinna Schumacher has delivered an encouraging message about the progress of her injured husband.

Now out of his long coma, F1 legend Michael Schumacher was transferred from intensive care in Grenoble to a Swiss rehabilitation clinic three weeks ago.

No official updates have been provided since then, but his wife Corinna buoyed hopes this week when she appeared happy and beaming in a series of photos.

According to the Mirror, during her first public appearance in months, Mrs Schumacher "laughed and joked" as she attended a horse riding event in Switzerland.

Now, a quote has emerged in the German women's magazine Neue Post that adds to the feeling of optimism about seven time world champion Schumacher's future.

"Moving forwards. Slowly, of course, but at least we go forward," said Corinna when asked about her husband's progress.

Just a general news site that generally posts news others have posted, rather than exclusives. I've read it a few times before, always seems fairly up to date. The original article is by the Neue Post - which I'm not familiar. The photo posted above is from an event at the Ranch (Mirror) and there was a lot of media there I believe. Lots more 'information' in the Mirror article but how true that is, I've no idea.

Michael Schumacher's wife has spoken publicly for the first time about his skiing accident, saying he is "getting better" after coming out of a coma last month.

Corinna Schumacher, 45, told Neue Post, a German women's weekly magazine, she was encouraged by the former Formula One driver's recovery.

"It's getting better, slowly certainly, but in any case it's improving," she said.

Her husband, 45, suffered serious brain injuries when his head hit a rock while he was on a skiing holiday in the French Alps in December.

The seven-times F1 champion was reportedly travelling at speeds of up to 60mph when the accident happened.

Schumacher was placed in a medically-induced coma after the accident

It is thought he was saved by his skiing helmet, which split on impact.

Last month, he was transferred from Grenoble university hospital to Lausanne University Hospital, close to his family's home in Switzerland.

Speaking at the time, his manager, Sabine Kehm, said Schumacher was no longer in a coma but gave no further details of his condition or medical outlook, saying only he would "continue his long phase of rehabilitation".

It was also reported in the German media he was responding to his wife's voice.

His medical records were reportedly stolen last month and were being touted for sale to the media.

Ms Kehm warned potential buyers that purchase or publication of the documents was a criminal matter.
