Ferrari F620: Is This The 599 Replacement?

Ferrari plans to officially unveil the F620 in the beginning of March at the Geneva Motor Show, but if you are getting antsy to see what the 599's replacement will look like today may be your lucky day. We believe the above picture is a shot of the F620 GT test mule's (somewhat) bare behind.

Although Ferrari has been rather tight lipped about technical details, we do know the new Grand Tourer will feature a 700hp 6.3 liter V12 up front and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Aside from a few shots of the car in heavy disguise, we hadn't heard or seen much else of the F620 until Jim Glickenhaus sent us this picture. Although we can't be positive, the car certainly looks like an F620 test mule.

With what appears to be a camouflage rear body piece in place, Glickenhaus couldn't help but notice what we believe to be the F620 bears a resemblance to his one off P 4/5 Competizione—or as he puts it "pays homage" to the car. We'll be watching for more details of the F620 ahead of its Geneva debut.

Looking forward to the launch. Looks like it will have lots of styling elements from the 458 Italia and the FF, and will probably use an uprated version of the FF's V12 engine.

I'm torn. It's seems as it is following Ferrari's new styling via the 458 and FF, however I don't know if its to far from Ferrari's heritage looks. Still really impressive though, 740 HP!

The car looks great! Really like the rear and the diffuser is awesome.

Is it me or does the back end look a bit like an Alfa 8C?

On second thoughts - only slightly.

It's got to be the vent on the bonnet doing that! 575GTC

Like all angles but the front which I hope I get used to? Is that a brake light at rear center? It looks so
much like an F1 rain light:) Active brake cooling explains doors (that look like blanks?) at front lower
quarters with outlets in the side indentations to vent and direct air over the rear flanks. What is that
single black intake or vent above right rear tire I wonder? Gorgeous interior with Poltrona Frau leather
and understated instrumentation with something extra on the passenger's side to keep them amused!
All in all quite an attractive introduction imo. Effe dodici berlinetta!

Damn... I had a hard time choosing between 458 and FF... and now they add the third STUNNING car into the mix. Well, I think I'll buy a Honda Civic after all

THIS is a proper Ferrari car! I had to pick up my jaw from the ground when I saw F12Berlinetta for the first time! Quite opposite reaction was when I saw first pictures of FF. So F12 and FF

Also just to clear this out, it has 740hp, not 700 or 730 as some sources are saying.

I absolutely love this car! It is beautiful.

Just a bit of a pity that all Ferrari new engines don't havt that....."scream".... sound anymore from the F355 and 575 Maranello...

    Anyho, I love this!!
