Meh, the white it looks nice for me, but the black lines and stripes dividing both colours is just made it look very overloaded

But in recent years, most of the ugly ones have been quite slow...

Interesingly an more rounded or organic looking car with less sharp edges tends to create less turbulence or to not divide airflow, resulting in more stable and uniform pressures to work on it

Now that Mr Marchionne has expressed his interest in Ferrari having a second team in F1 and as there are rumours of Mr Dennis being interested in acquiring Team Manor this could be the time to join forces by re-naming Mr Dennis owned Manor as Alfa-Romeo.

Ferrari "had a proposal" to hire Paddy Lowe from Formula 1 rival Mercedes, but decided it could do without the world championship-winning technical director, according to Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne.

"We don't need a Ross Brawn-type of hero who solves all problems."

I hope Ferrari NEVER has anything EVER to do with that snake Dennis (even though truthfully his frustration and secret hero has always been Don Enzo)!

did somebody watch the races? what is missing most is traction which is anyhow not needed next year with the bigger rear tires there is plenty of grip. also engine maps will be completly different due to more grip out of corners... also marchione said in an interview he would take the blame if 2017 is winless -->regarding selfconfidence of Ferrari

    http://au.eurosport.com/formula-1/fe...93/story.shtml

Marchionne also said he would accept ultimate responsibility should Ferrari fail to succeed in 2017.

"If we carry on not winning, it will be my fault," he said.

"It's what I already tell Ferrari fans who approach me and lament the long winless streak.

"Don't expect promises. Last time around I was incautious.

"Now I only ask to do better than in 2016 - it doesn't seem hard to me."

I dont know if its pointed out before. I was watching the races and compared Mercedes and Ferrari cars. There is a noticeable lack of grip out of corners and a noticeable lack of ease of directional change in our Ferrari car. Mercedes uses a torque vectoring system in the rear with the brake regeneration, I am convinced with this. If you look at the car, it turns in even just when the steering is turned, like the inner wheel is braking, outer wheel get the idle torque from the engine. There is no understeer at all. Its also another reason why they can get on the power earlier, because it just helps to turn the car and the regeneration system acts like traction control.

Close enough! I am still getting a smile thinking of Ron as a TP for a Ferrari owned Alfa Romeo team.

Wasn't sure where to post this but as it's a 2017 thread it's relevant....the FDA seems to have taken on a new lease of life with announcements of drivers being added including Emerson Fittipaldi's grandson! It's about time we were able to use some of these FDA guys, is this possibly where Marchionne's thoughts on a Alfa F1 team will lead? Let's hope so.

Why bother with second team, when even first one is not working properly?!
