Few saying he's been moved to Fiat group.
On the other side there is also a rumor that it's been his junior who designed engine n got the better of the engine. So he's been given chance ahead of sassi

Reason which it was mentioned was silly.
If Ferrari used loop hole then he was smart in it. When the clarification came, it was clarified to all teams.
I don't think that's reason he was removed.

Lorenzo Sassi out of the Scuderia? Is that good or bad for Ferrari and the chances to win both titles?

well he was the head of the engine dept. so.....what is that mean?? we'll not get the promissed updated (extra 50Hp engine for silverstone)....or was that jsut a rumor??

i'm hoping that this will NOT affect Ferrai too much, and that we still have lots of good guys that can work and improve the engine further

I think those extra 50 ponies are already in the bag for Silverstone.

I think as of right now the engine thing is just rumours, they said the samething about Baku and no engine upgrades were done, also in that rumour i think they mentioned that the engine getting 50hp increase is relative to the old unit and not the latest one

If Lorenzo Sassi sacking news turn out to be true. Could it be because he leaked the engine update for Silverstone info to James Allen? Otherwise, where could JA possibly get the info and be so sure to write about it?

Rumours, and I stress rumours, lean more towards the "oil-burning" issue hence is why SM sacked him immediately.

As I said earlier, if it's related to oil burn issue.
Then Ferrari clearly exploited the loop hole. Which got clarification later from FIA.
Then sassi should be appreciated rather than sacked for exploiting such loop hole.
I think it's not related to oil burn issue. There's something else

I agree and read this in an earlier post(yours)....hopefully he(Sassi) will "clarify" the issue.

Rumours of Max possibly heading to Ferrari in 2019

    On Planet F1:
Max Verstappen is looking for a way out of Red Bull at the end of next season with the Dutchman eyeing up a 2019 Ferrari race-seat.

The 19-year-old has endured a frustrating start to this year’s championship with his efforts blighted by reliability issues.

This hit a sour note in Baku when he retired while challenging for a podium finish, his fourth DNF of the season, while his team-mate Daniel Ricciardo went on to win the grand prix.

As such Verstappen is looking to move on from Red Bull.

That, though, can only happen at the end of the 2018 season after Red Bull have made it abundantly clear that Verstappen is “100 per cent” contracted to the team for next season.

According to both Marca and The Independent, the youngest is “looking to join Ferrari” come 2019 with the latter reporting that it is a matter of “when, not if” Verstappen heads to Maranello.

It doesn't make much sense though. He's been with RB for a little more than a year, got 6 podiums + 1 win last season, and now he's going to call it quits at mid-season after a few DNF's?
I don't see the logic in that.
