If Lorenzo Sassi sacking news turn out to be true. Could it be because he leaked the engine update for Silverstone info to James Allen? Otherwise, where could JA possibly get the info and be so sure to write about it?

Two three things to take away from Austria :
1) the margin is not 1.1 secs like it was in baku and that was a one off
2) the oil burning trick, if it was ferrari that was doing it, had little to no effect on qualy pace
3) baku deficit was about not being able to get the tires working
4) bring on silverstone :)

The disturbing part of this news, if true, is that SM is willing to poach a top engineer from the racing team in the midst of a season in which they are fighting for the titles. Seems like something more is going on...

According to an Italian article ( formulapassion.it Marchionne a tutto campo su Baku, Alonso, Kimi e Sassi ), SM states that " it's part of the rotation with staff" and he (Sassi)

went back to the road car division.

He also states in that same article that while Alonso has shown interests in returning to Ferrari, Ferrari are not interested.
