You guys should start your own TV channel, get us really involved, especially technophobes like me who doesn't use a mobile phone except in emergencies!!! Thanks for the commentary anyway, and shame we lost out on the win after all that effort.

Disappointed. But they all looking forward to CoTA, and put Mexico behind them, whats done is done. Luca said, cannt get upset with Mexico, guys done great job with engine change, #71 crew was faultless all weekend. Still good points, but knew P3 for #51 was on cards. But now, all focus is on the next race. The all determined to win it all now.

All I need now is to have a personal relationship with an engineer at AF Corse and I'll be the new Rob!

good effort by all crews. Speaking to Francesco, thinks the Aston is very beatable this weekend. So happy for him and #54 to be p2, and right behind have the Clearwater guys. Will be wearing my Clearwater team top tomorrow, ,then after 3 hours change into AF Corse top.

Yet again, #71 another pole position, and #51 P4, cannt wait for tomorrow. Watch out for #51

I'm so much more excited for the WEC race than I am for the GP

The 488 seems to work extremely well the whole way round, where as the other marques seem to kill the tyre in S3.

Oh what happened to my name change?

Even with the BoP change to the Fords, we seem quick again. Lets wait see how the race goes.

I have spoke to Greig about name change, i forgot sorry.

#61 had a lap time deleted, can't see whether that has changed where it starts.

Drive time regulations in the heat

Temperatures today in Austin are forecasted to be both extremely hot and humid, similar to, but not quite as bad as last year’s race. Because of this the limits and regulations on both drive time for LMP2 drivers, and cockpit ambient temperatures have been put in place for this race.

The regulations state that the LMP2 cars must maintain an ambient temperature below 32 degrees celsius inside the cockpit. This limit though is only in effect when the outside air temperature is forecasted to be at or below 25 degrees.

If the outside air temperature is forecast to be above 25 degrees, which it most likely will be, than LMP2 cars will fall under the same regulations as non-air conditioned cars, even though they will still have air con equipped. This means that an 80-minute limit on driver time in the LMP2 cars will most likely be enforced for today’s race.

If the temperature is declared to be above 25 degrees then teams have a seven-degree breathing room above the outside air temperature. For example if the outside temperature is 35, the maximum tempature allowed in the car is 42 degrees. If they go over, teams have eight minutes to get the temperature back down to within limit.
