Maybe we should call ours the Scuderia Ferrari SF-70 Hybrid Super Power, that'll teach them a lesson!

The EQ standing for "Electric Intelligence" (IQ get it??) plus and there is a hint of blue in the "striping" to commemerate this EQ tech. Brains over Brawn(Super Power)??????

Well...italian journalist Leo Turrini has already seen it...here are his own words, from his blog:

....L'ho vista. E non mi piace.
    Ma se vince...

(I have seen it. and I don’t like it. But, should she win…)

I know the meaning behind the name, but it still sounds ridiculous, don't you think?

    "Ma se vince", yes!
To me, the most beautiful F1 car I have ever seen was the 1992's F-92. It was also a turd, so who cares about the looks if we win?

I think they just should have kept the WO# lineage IMO. Ridiculous??? Maybe, but its smart from a promotional campaign and they are using it to their advantage since its probably been in their heads for quite some time already(since the intro of this PU). This whole EQ program is the going to go into their production vehicles/hypercar project so its more of a "segway" I guess. This has been planned already years ago and they are using F1 to further their own interests which I think is ridiculous.

I understand that, but it won't work. Can you expect the TV commentators going "And here's Hamilton in his W08 EQ Power Plus"? No, they'll, as everybody else, just use "W08"

in that case, yes......commentators including us will refer to it as the W08 due to it being so long....but Elton/Valteri/Toto and the rest of the MB crew WILL HAVE TO say it.

Our car better come out BETTER than this one from a livery standpoint....which it will. Then there's the performance aspect at Barcelona( I have family in Spain and they say it "Bar-the-lona) and WE HAVE TO MATCH or better the silver arrows. We have to run the test likes its a "48 heurs of Le Mans".....not 24....but 48. They(MB) are not going to let up and neither should we.

Nothing will ever compare to the 1984 126 C4 to my eye....

That Mercedes is so long, it looks deformed...

I listed the C3 in my Top Ten on the "Best Ferraris" thread... but with the launch spec sidepods. A thing of beauty! But I like the C4 too, although only the version with the arrow-shaped sidepods
And the 2017 cars look way too long, yes

The T1 sidepods were awesome, the T2 never made an impression on me. A bland car for a bland season

they are TOO long because of the new rules...all the cars will be this long...no wonder Luise called them BOATS....but as any change in rules we'll get used to them....

i used to HATE the changes in 2009 with the skinny and tall rear wings...but over the years i've gotten uses to them

this year's rules for the rear wings are much more pleasing to the eye.....ha, ha....

let's hope that our SF17-H or whatever the name will be, is gonna be just as nice and pleasing to the they eye as the Mercedes is....

if NOT, let's ALL hope at least it's gonna be FAST......really FAST!!!!!!

The rules allow the cars to be this long, its the designers decision to make them this long
Having said that, you're probably right and we'll get used to them

Monaco will be a nightmare IMO.......especially @ mirabeau hairpin...cars of the past...any F1 car...is at full wheel lock....then you throw in the length of these current F1 cars.

i guess when you think about it 20cm is NOT that much in real life....but when it comes to F1 is kind of HUGE....
i know some this extra length will be due to accomodate the bigger fuel tank for the extra 5kg of fuel...but still 20cm is HUGE in terms of F1.

let's hope the new Ferrari will not be as big....but something tells me it's gonna be close to the size of Mercedes as well
