    Thought this was common knowledge.

Glad it it didn't happen. He wouldn't have performed any better than Kimi and he's a bit boring too.

It was common knowledge. But this is the first time one of the parties involved actually confirms the would-be deal

I knew about this "Old news back in 2012!" I for one had no idea she was able to shake Merc down for$$ and pobably a great engine deal. I also have to believe this was not old news to Felipe Massa at the time! Retire, return, tireing to say the least! Where on earth was I ? Everyone else knew the old news! Beside being a champion driver , I'm glad all over that Kimi was not let go, if not for any other reason than his dynamic personality!

I wouldn't talk Bottas down right now, he might be the most wanted after the season. If he happens to match, or even better beat Hamilton, I'd see him as a best candidate to replace our "holy drinker" when the time comes.

If that happens, Merc will obviously extend his contract. If it doesn't, no top team will want him. So, no matter what happens he will never drive for us
