It's not how start but how you finish.
Stroll has his best chance to show what he can do this year and next year while they have a very good car.
2022 they will have to build their own car until they can copy Mercedes 2022 car.
.
Changes aren't permanent........But change is.
ALL LIVES MATTER... EVEN YOURS
I have to give it to Stroll, he showed he's no walkover today and his 2019 Merc did the trick for him, but he's actually driving quite well, not what I expected so credit where it's due.
Monza 2020....temple of speed
Qualifying
Perez P4 vs Stroll P8.....Stroll is 3/10's off Perez in quali.

Perez is 30 yrs. old with 186 entries. Stroll is 21 yrs. old with 69 entries. Stroll is getting top 10 finishes! It's great watching him race while our Ferrari drivers are out of contention hopefully just for a short time, not 10 yrs. as Binotto suggests . Nothing matters anyway for the time being with Merc sending out that rocket with auto pilot!
Monza 2020
This race was reminiscent of Baku 2017...drama for the top teams.
It happens once in a great while but when it does, it's pickings for the few that get to see a podium.
Stroll got a free pit stop during the whole "K-Mag stopped his car at the pit stop entry." Then on the 2nd start (P2), he lost a couple of places on the opening lap of the 2nd start. Nonetheless, Stroll finishes the race P3.
Stroll currently in the WDC points is 4th with 57pts....tied with Norris.
Perez is 11th with 34pts.
It's not how start but how you finish.
Mugello 2020.....Stroll bins it in the race...he's okay.
Moves from P4 to P6 in the WDC standings
Sochi 2020 qualifying
Stroll out of Q2......Seb causes red flag....Stroll cannot qualify due to overheating engine.....Perez makes it to Q3 and starts P4 in the race.
It's not how start but how you finish.
Imagine if Stroll beats Vettel next year?
Speedy recovery to Strollman.
Sochi 2020 - Stroll get hits by Leclerc and Stroll is out of the race.
Eifel 2020 - FP1 and FP2 are cancelled due to inclement weather. Next day, Stroll is sick and cannot do FP3 and Qualifying. Racing Point calls Hulk again for the 3rd time to fill in.
It's not how start but how you finish.
Eiffel 2020 - It seems Stroll could'nt get off the .....[cough] [cough].....toilet for FP3 & qualifying.
It's not how start but how you finish.
" Canada oh Canada ! " please feel better soon. Be safe!
Portugal 2020 (Portimao)
FP2
So Stroll is on his flying lap and Max let's Stroll by, Max then proceeds to follow Stroll to do his flying lap thinking once Stroll crosses the finish line for his his time, Stroll will power down and Max will start his flying lap. This is common courtesy between F1 drivers when qualifying--?the lead driver will power down after completing his flying lap and the one following will start his flying lap. Unfortunately, Stroll DID NOT power down after completing his flying lap and decided to go for another flying lap.....with Max rght beside him....Stroll(outside) did'nt see Max(inside) (Stroll was looking down on his dash) and took the apex into T1 thereby colliding with Max. Both were investigated...no penalties.
Qualifying
Stroll does'nt advance into Q2. Neverthelss, Stroll is P12 and Perez is P5 on the starting grid.
Race
Perez and Max collide on lap 1 sending Perez off the track. No damage to Perez or Max, Perez heads to the pits and is last.
Stroll collides with Norris during the race into T1. Stroll, under DRS tries to pass Norris on the outside since Norris took the inside line going into T1...unfortunately, Stroll's racing line is wide and under DRS and tries to cut the apex into the corner but like the incident with Max during free practice, Norris is on the inside and both Stroll and Norris collide. Both have minimal damage but make it to the pits. Both are investigated and Stroll is slapped with a 5sec penalty,
Throughout the race, Stroll has exceeded track limits by 4x and the stewards slap Stroll with ANOTHER 5sec penalty.
Stroll pits and serves his 10sec penalty. Stroll is dead last.
On lap 54, Stroll retires the car. When asked why Stroll retired, Otmar responds that Stroll had car damage and floor damage. BUT, team radio of Stroll after the incident with Norris and serving his 10penalty says otherwise. Stroll just did'nt want to race anymore thereby saving the engine and team radio responds with OTHER THAN "box box box, you have damage to the car." (Stroll is on his 3rd component).

Perez finishes the race P7
It's not how start but how you finish.
Stroll is clearly replacing Max as the most disliked up and coming young F-1 driver. I remember just the mention of Max doing good back then was trolling big time here. He surely has a way to go , but watching him for better or worse on his end is not trolling. Look at it this way, Saintz next year becomes a good guy!![]()
Imola 2020
Stroll had a killer day [sarcasm]....almost took his jackman with him.Glad he's okay.
Stroll got taken out by either Stroll hitting Ocon or Ocon hitting Stroll on the opening lap. Stroll had front wing damage and had to pit. Stroll dead last thoughout the race.
Stroll finished P13 and Perez finished P6

Lance just taking a stroll.
Imola 2020
When race control gave the message that lapped cars could overtake the safetycar to unlap themselfes, Stroll went full speed passed the site of Russell's accident WHILE THERE WERE STILL MARSHALS !

FIA evaluating procedures after Imola pre-restart situation
Formula 1’s governing body, the FIA, says it is aware of the pre-restart situation at Imola, which was labelled “dangerous” by drivers, and will evaluate whether any changes are necessary.
The Safety Car was deployed in the race when Max Verstappen’s Red Bull suffered a tyre failure on the run to the Villeneuve chicane and became beached in the gravel trap.
Under the Safety Car Williams’ George Russell lost control of his FW43 on the approach to Acque Minerale.
After a few laps those who had been a lap down were given the signal to overtake and did so in a bid to return to the train prior to the restart, as per the usual protocol.
A group of four marshals were still working at the area where Russell had crashed, with one on the track sweeping away debris.
Kimi Raikkonen was first to encounter the scene after the exit of the Piratella left-hander and backed off, which prompted close pursuers Antonio Giovinazzi, Nicholas Latifi and Romain Grosjean to do likewise.
Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll, following at separate intervals, approached the scene at speed, with Stroll in particular passing close by to the marshals at considerable speed.
Grosjean and Vettel both radioed their respective teams to inform them of the “dangerous” situation though it is understood these complains were not passed on by their teams to Race Control at the time.
Article 39.12 of Formula 1’s Sporting Regulations states that once drivers are given the signal to unlap themselves they “should then proceed around the track at an appropriate speed, without overtaking, and make every effort to take up position at the back of the line.”
Double waved yellow flags were still being shown both trackside and on the lighting panels, the locations of which are outlined in the pre-event briefing, and as per the wording of the regulations these were observed by drivers.
On Tuesday, after a request by MotorsportWeek.com on the situation, the FIA confirmed that they will review whether current procedures need to be amended.
“The safety of the marshals and trackside officials is of the highest priority for the FIA,” read a statement provided.
“Race control was made aware of the issue and is evaluating whether any changes can be made to the procedures currently in place to further protect the marshals and officials and minimise the likelihood of a reoccurrence in the future.”
The situation only came to light after Formula 1 Race Director Michael Masi held his usual post-race debrief with the media.

Istanbul 2020 Race
Stroll did a great job....until he switched to new inters. Listen to your pit box Lance, they know more than you. Stroll finished the race P9.
Perez P2
Note: They are letting go the best driver in the team for 2021.
It's not how start but how you finish.
Er, Daddy owns the team..
We're doomed, Cap'n Mainwaring, doomed I tell ye!
Credit where credit is due. The kid can drive in the wet conditions. He's done it several times and got his first pole.
The race... well, it was a gamble for most drivers.
Stroll is for sure a F-1 talent. He's one of the drivers I've been watching every race to see how he's coming along. Just finishing that last race was a plus toward all the young drivers who finished. There's no need to just watch the front 3 every race! There's plenty going on to gt that podium pot ! F-1 is great.
riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiight.
Bahrain 2020
So Stroll was taking a "stroll" during the race until he ended up upside down after an incident with Kvyat at the apex in the corner.
Kvyat is served a 10sec penalty, which he serves in the pits, and 2 points added to his racing license.
Incidentally, is'nt this Stroll's 3rd racing incident within weeks at the apex in the corner??? (Norris and Max in T1 in Turkey???)
