Merc seems to have problems following other cars, Seb showed we don't....we were quicker we won the race.

Some support a driver rather than the team We were not lucky, we were quicker than them.

It was clear at the start that Seb was managing his tires and could clearly match Ham pace wise.Max did give us breathing space but we are right there with the Mercs. The team did a good job this winter and hopefully the guys at Maranello will be relentless and continue to develop the cars further. It's a long season and we should not be complacent especially against Mercs and RB, both of which are notoriously efficient in in-season development.

Yes, we can follow, no problems, but to overtake, there is a problem

I can not remember when was the last time when someone overtook leader in normal conditions, I mean no pitstop or technical issues or something

By the way, any idea why both Haas retired? Looks like Grosjean had a engine problem.

yeah i think so too....too bad kimi woke up too late at the end of the race.....where was he during the 56 laps or so???
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Nico and Lewis done it a few times no Ricciardo as well? But you are saying we have to take Lewis on track? we had the pace to jump him in pits as we had the fastest car.....

Overtaking at Albert Park is never easy.

may i remind you that this is a track where oertaking is REALLY hard, it's the nature of the track.....we'll get a better idea in the next tracks if passing will be easier as they will be proper racing tracks

wow! the win is down to luck then? last i checked, Max is racing for position at the time. It wasn't his problem if Ham can not overtake.. sheesh..

if it was all luck, then Kimi was unlucky then..

So, if have a faster car, then why not Seb did not overtook Lewis when he was following him?
Hamster lost more than 6 seconds behind Max, maybe 9 seconds.

If Mercedes is faster than Lewis, then why did Lewis not overtake Max? Your own logic is flawed. Ferrari had the faster car today.

Because overtaking is very hard here maybe? So Red Bull have a faster car than Merc going by your theory?

ham was just ahead of more than 1 sec because vettel had the pace and the speed to keep up, can you imagine if it was the other way around? seb would have probably blown the race away.

    Or maybe 1 minute

It was decision of Hamilton and Mercedes to pit stop, they knew well, that they will return behind RedBull. Their strategic mistake or simply they (Hamilton) manage tyres worse than us and they really needed to make a pit stop to prevent our undercut.

Seb had the pace to pull the gap needed without Max.

nope.. that's flawed reasoning.. Merc knew that when they pit Ham they'll encounter traffic.. bad strategy maybe, but not due to luck..

it's ok if you don't believe in the team but forcing that the win is down to luck is really pushing it..
