I like the below statement from the article

'Ferrari appeared to hold a significant advantage over Mercedes on race pace in Friday practice and, critically, able to preserve tyre life far more effectively than their Mercedes rivals.'

P1 vet on clean side which should give him advantage. But the threat is long straight down turn2 where if Bottas gets good start (he too on clean side) on slip stream braking zone becomes more imp. Also mercs have good straight line speed over Ferrari.
This is where Kimi needs to get good start & hold Bottas.

My question is mercs on 4-5 older tyres compared to Ferrari, any advatange or disadvantage??

Yeah, a driver being considered for possible replacement would dis his team over the radio.

Let them race for gods sake, if Kimi jumps Vettel at the start then he did a better start and should be in front

Apparently he was sent out too late to do a proper warm-up of the tyres and that was allegedly his reaction on team radio.

The point is IMHO that while 1-2 in qualifying is absolutely great there is still appears to be room for improvement in the operations. If these shortcomings continue they jeopardize the outcome on race day.

I don't mind team mates racing but when the competition is playing by a different set of rules then we have to follow suit otherwise our drivers will be taking points off each other, many times in the past we have lost the title by a handful of points.

It will be vet who will be worried as he's carrying some downforce than rivals. So he needs to nail perfect start & hold that position.

Important both Ferrari's shouldn't attack themselves... this is the key.
