yes i was also expecting ham would burn his tire but apparently he was able to hold it.

It will be like 2010 or 2012 season. When Alonso was fighting for championship and Massa was missing.

The car was fast indeed. Just the Medium tires didn't work for both Mercedes and Ferrari. About tire degradation seems like Mercedes solved their problems, but we manage the tires pretty well too.

I'd say Mercedes was really lucky with their gamble and Bottas did a great job for Hamilton. Also, don't forget Mercedes had a major update for this race. Ferrari is looking strong for both WCC/WDC.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and

In the end of the day, everybody thought the medium tyre would be much slower then it showed to be so in the end of the day a bit of luck is involved..
A shame we lost here, just like it was a shame we lost China because of a bad timing of safety car.. Still good to finish P2.
It's just so hard because it so close, like last race..

Wow, what a frustrating race.... Bottas not only knocked KR out of the race, but prevented Vettel from winning the race.... completely gutted by the result today....

If kimi would have been in the race it would have been a different story, karma caught bottas and mercs with the engine blow up and finally commentators saying hard fought victory for ham... But when did he fight and with whom did he fight he had everything to get past us better tyres, slipstream, DRS and yet its called fighting...? I can be happy only if we CRUSH mercs to defeat in monaco... And what a stupidity from strategy from us and at last why didn't we pit in the vsc window.. Soooooo stupid..... May be I don't know we could have waited for the clear track.... But not so sad only because we could fight....

I think this year our car is more competitive. But we don't have Fernando ofcourse.. However, think Seb is doing great this season

S3 was not as good as Merc, so we could be in trouble in Monaco

2nd is not a bad result considering the massive update the Mercs brought for this race, aero and engine wise.

What is now clear is that strategy will play a very crucial role from this race forward, considering the race trim pace of Mercs and Ferrari are just about equal (although I feel we are ahead by a few tenths). Mercedes for sure is now using Bottas as their moving chicane to disrupt Vettel's run for the championship this early in the season and we need to adapt to this quickly. Of course it is easier said than done, and we need Raikkonen to perform well now more than ever to get back to our championship winning ways.

Good race at the front with blow and counter blow between Vettel and the 2 mercs! Several factors (Kimi crashing out in lap 1 meaning Mercedes had a wider strategy option with both Lewis and the other Mercedes, ability to use Bottas as a shield, the VSC eating away the 8 second lead Seb had and Pirelli's ultra conservative tyre choice) conspired against us today!
