you only got to do 10 or so laps to get "race data" you havent got to do loads and loads of laps for race sims. High fuel, same tyres as you go do the race with and go out and get nice consistent times, no DRS apart form where can use it in race and gather the data and go over it in the evening. If the track temps going be higher than Friday or Saturday, there isnt alot of point wasting engine miles, when you can just do xx amount of laps and still get all the data you can get.

The amount times Mercs have locked up into turn 1, I wonder if they have many decent sets left

I do have to say, that IMO Seb did a few minor mistakes, so time could be even better

First lap was perfect, 2nd lap too almost nailed it before he did minor error in sector 2, sector 3.

If Merc are still chasing set up then good for us, I think they concentrated alot on the soft tyre to make sure they are set up for the race.

Something tells me they might do q2 using the soft instead of the SS, they will run long in the race where as eveyone on the SS will have to pit early. Then they will stick on the SS towards the end of the race when others are on older softs.

Mercs probably know Ferrari are too far ahead for quali, therefore they looking at best strategy for the race and not quali aslong as they cover the Red Bulls

Good reference here to confirm Ferrari's qualities, which would take some of the heat away from the chassis and aero guys. Maybe it's what someone here said, which was track temperature along with track surface differences making an impact. Not used to seeing Lewis struggle but, when he does, he certainly does look wayward.

Mercs will qualify on softs for q2, if they don't have threat of RB. So RB should perform strong in q2.

Yep I think the same, maybe Ferrari should use Kimi to block their progress in the race by sticking him on the same strategy by covering both bases

Hopefully people will shut up about Red Bull and their overrated chassis. This isn't blown diffuser era.

yest skyf1 commentators were overjoyed saying RB is now clear ahead of Ferrari. Even ric saying pole position is in reach

Ferrari doesn't have same pace of mercs on S tyres. So I don't see Kimi on S tyres in q2

Ferrari should improve their pace on S tyres, during next tests they should concentrate on it.
    Mercs have S tyre advantage.

After FP3, the gap from 1st to 10th was about 2 seconds, surely the time delta is not 2 seconds between the tyres on the Ferrari?
