Kimi recieves 3 penalty points towards his license.....
Can't really say if you're trolling or being serious..
So why Bottas was doing some very quick laps under clean air but when RAI/RIC overtook him he couldn't follow? Why Mercedes didn't toy with us in Silverstone and pulled a big gap?
Actually Ferrari just said that our car was the quickest today according to their data.
Lewis when interview by DC said the same thing, Ferrari had the faster car. Lewis said he was giving it all the last 10 laps and doing quali laps.track position hindered our race

Maurizio Arrivabene: “Going into this race, on paper at least, it didn’t seem like one that would suit us particularly well. Despite that, we proved able to fight for the win right down to the final lap. Seb drove a great race and at the restart after the Safety Car, it really came very close. It’s a shame Kimi had to take a penalty, which cost him almost half a minute, but he managed to recover with a nice passing move at the restart. The SF70H proved to be very competitive and the team, both at the track and in Maranello, worked with concentration and determination. However, we still need to improve. The next GP will be in Monza where we will be meeting up with all our fans.”
Sebastian Vettel: “If we had ended up ahead in qualifying, then we would have had a good pace to stay in front today! I was surprised how close I could follow through the whole race. So I am a bit angry at myself, because, when the race restarted after the safety car, I was probably too close to Lewis out of Turn 1. I tried to open the gap down Eau Rouge but it’s a difficult compromise. You see the cars coming behind and you know that you need to defend, instead of focusing on attacking. At the same time I know that down the straights we are not as quick as Mercedes. So, I am not entirely happy, but after all it’s been a great weekend for the team. We don’t need to be afraid of any circuit, I believe we have the best car in terms of package. There’s still something missing but the guys in Maranello are very motivated. I think we have done the biggest improvement and a big step forward. Now we turn the page on and move on to Monza: let’s see what happens there.”
Kimi Raikkonen: “Overall, we have been quite competitive this weekend. In the race the car was good on the Soft compound, while with the Ultrasofts, after some laps,I was struggling with the rear; the first laps were ok but then I was sliding around. When I saw the yellow flags I was on the straight, on the right side and I’m sure I did not go any faster than on any other lap. The penalty was not ideal, but luckily there was a Safety Car and we could recover something. I overtook Bottas and then I tried to get close to Ricciardo, but we did not have enough speed to overtake him as he was surprisingly good in race conditions, with good speed in the right places. I guess the result of today could have been worse, but for sure I was looking for more. We have to take the good things, we learned from this race and we’ll try to do better next weekend.”
CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
Considering all the talk about Spa being a Merc circuit, Seb did a brilliant job keeping so close to HAM, Kimi's penalty was completely over the top, and in both cases Seb couldn't get close enough to HAM or Kimi to RIC towards the end, so the US tyres gave us no benefit. Result was a relief, really, could have been a lot worse. Monza here we come, and I'm nervous already.
Hamilton says engine mode error helped him fend off Vettel
Lewis Hamilton says selecting the wrong power mode actually helped him stay ahead of Sebastian Vettel in the restart in the Belgian GP, because it allowed the German to get closer than he had expected to be.
Hamilton explained that losing speed by being in the wrong mode meant that Vettel was right with him at the La Source hairpin, and the Ferrari driver was thus not able to get a good run on him down the hill.
Vettel's failure to pass Hamilton immediately after the restart was crucial to the outcome of the race, as it was his best chance to deprive the Mercedes driver of the lead, especially as he had the advantage of ultrasoft tyres against Hamilton's softs.
"Initially I got a very good start when we were on the back straight, I got a real good pull away," said Hamilton.
"I was able to catch him out, as I did in Baku on the three or four starts with the safety car. I broke away, but didn't have the right power mode.
"I pulled away initially, and then he started catching me up, so he went into the last corner.
"Initially it felt like that's a mistake, but in actual fact it was actually a really good thing, because if I came out of the last corner with that gap, he would have had the momentum, being three or four car lengths behind, to really propel and really get a good tow, and come and slip past me.
"It worked out perfectly."
"I was at 90 percent throttle"
In addition Lewis opted not to use full throttle in an attempt to keep Vettel stuck behind his rear wing.

Honda will continue to accelerate their development in order to improve their PU further..........YEEEEEEEAAAAAH RIGHT.No evidence of engine problem in Alonso data, say Honda
2017 Belgian Grand Prix
Honda’s Yusuke Hasegawa says that the engine supplier could see ‘nothing in the data’ to indicate there was a problem with Fernando Alonso’s McLaren prior to his retirement.
After dropping gradually through the field during the Belgian Grand Prix, Alonso retired from the race on lap 26, complaining of an engine problem on his car.
Despite Alonso’s claims, Hasegawa says the decision was made to pull Alonso out of the race even though there was no indication of any problems in the team’s data.
“After starting brilliantly, Fernando then had a tough race overall,” says Hasegawa. “He radioed in with what he thought was a problem with the car, and although there was nothing showing in the data, we decided to stop the car as a precaution.”
Following a good start that saw him running as high as seventh in the early stages, Alonso fell backwards through the field seemingly unable to hold off the cars around him.
“It was a difficult afternoon and we were not competitive in race trim,” says Alonso. “The car was too slow on the straights and it was impossible to have any battles out there, so points were also impossible today.”
“Eventually, we had to stop due to an engine issue.”
Hasegawa says that Honda will “continue to accelerate our development in order to improve our PU further.”

It would also seem Alonso is getting even more frustrated......
It looks like Lewis did some pretty smart things to fend off Seb like lifting off on purpose so Seb won't get the tow.
Lewis also said that Ferrari had the faster car.
I remember him saying he will quit any race that he can't score points. This is so suspicious

Ferrari 1-2 with the mercs taking each other out, ending the Hamilton-Bottas bromance. That would be magical...

Are the facilities that bad at Spa?

Well I would have said this was a great race if Seb had passed Lew for the win. Alas, not so, but Ferrari's pace has me encouraged & we'll have a fresh new spec pu at Monza.
Kimi's penalty was too harsh, FIA over did it just to drive home a point.
I understand they often don't penalize action between teammates but Perez was way over the top "defending" against Ocon!
Typical Lewis bigging himself up with his post race remarks, but that's probably just me being over-sensitive because he's the main rival.
Forza Ferrari !

Lewis proud of his big time pole win and then winning yet another belgian race ? Doesn't he know " It's the car not the driver! " What's the big fuss over a remote safety car? F1 already has "Remote best car! ? Merc is just not allowed to send the car out to race with an empty seat. Hopefully before seasons end; it will be Seb's Ferrari in remote!
