    After their Hungaray swap-around, it will be interesting to see Mercedes' tactics today with just nine races remaining in the 2017 championship.

    Valtteri Bottas starts from third today so could easily help Lewis Hamilton out if needed when it comes to the Ferraris, and Martin Brundle had this to say:

    "I'm pretty sure Mercedes will use Bottas tactically for the rest of the year."

    "There is no start on the calendar where the cars have more grip than here," Sky F1 analyst Pat Symonds reveals.

    But it's not just about the first corner at the start, of course. In reality, the start continues all the way up Eau Rouge and will only settle out once the leaders have reached the end of the Kemmel Straight.

    Anyone remeber the 2012 start? Vettel in the red bull in p2, a merc in p1. Vettel took the merc at the top of the hill for p1

    So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

    Is it me or does it take the same amount of time to clear the equipment off the grid as it did when they had fuelling machines and all that went with it.

    It can't really be called the bus stop chicane anymore really! It's a bit like trigger's broom.

    Will hurt him in sector 2, also more tyre wear due to car sliding

    I think hamiton is trying to look after his tyres on this formation lap.

    @pirellisport

    A two-stopper is also possible: one stint on ultrasoft of 10 laps, then two stints on supersoft of 17 laps each

    The race control computer notes Raikkonen exceeding track limits at Eau Rouge, he's still fourth but under some pressure from Verstappen briefly.
