Seb had a sluggish start which is what started the chain of events.

Not full but just partial. As a lead driver you tend to do that. Protect yourself from challenger.

Do you understand mathematically what needs to happen in order to overcome 28 points? Unless a hamilton DNF at one of the next 7 races, its over plain and simple.

Vettel tried so hard to give some glory to ferrari, after being so thrilled yesterday, it must suck to see everything blow up in smoke, all that hard work and effort

I think you said it. It takes one DNF and game on. Did you watch 2007 title?

Yh I'm usually the one having a go at Zike and co for being negative but that is a big blow. It's a commanding lead to take into the final 7 races and hamilton will be strong. That being said all it takes is for 1 DNF for hamilton to bring Vettel back into contention but we need to be flawless now in the last 7 races maximising points at every turn...that's the real challenge.

Alonso backs off to let the Williamses of Stroll and Massa past. He asks the team for feedback on his damaged car, but is told he'll have to manage it himself as the McLaren has lost telemetry.

Yeah it's difficult to recover those 28 pts that too last part of the season. If it's in first half then fine.
If ham takes victory, it's a hat-trick of wins wt a 2nd half for him.

Hamilton still needs to get the points first, still a long race ahead.

So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

    +1 Seb's fault...

Hamilton literally wet his pants when he saw the melee happening before his eyes.

As much as I loathe Verstappen, he's not a fault here. Vettel and Raikonnen squeezed him like he wasn't even there.
Then I only saw one replay, I don't want to see it again.
