i think because they were worried about the reliability of other parts that could've failed in fp3 , so they did it in precaution

Electrical issue means it takes time to figure out, what is wrong. There was not a lot of time between FP3 and Quali, so they decided to play it safe and changed the whole engine... well... "safe".

In opinion: Kimi is screwed.
Or he gets pole but probably won't win since Ferrari will focus on trying to get Seb through 's vantage RBR and Merc since they will both have 2 cars at the front so can try things
Or eryone bashes on him and he won't win because of strategy team being focused on Seb

It was a precaution. You can try analyse what is wrong which takes time if you then come ot conclusion engine parts have to be chenged there is not enough time. So it's better to change engine straight away, since , like you saw, it's very marginal to get this done between FP3 and Q

As the 4th engine was introduced today, if theyntake a 5th engine they would have 2 new engines until the end of the season including the old used ones. Merc still rotating 4 old engines so we should have a stronger finish to the season.

The points deficit is another topic altogether
