The pictures Ferrari did not want you to see on the grid of the Malaysian Gran Prix.

agreed, Mercedes are a precision team.....in all aspects. I hate to admit it and loathe them.....but respect them admirably. They make everyone else rise to the occasion....or at least try to.

Well, I would say, it is ONE of the moments we lost the 2017 WDC. I would not pin it on one moment. It was big(Singapore) though.

First time in Ferrari history, two of its cars DNF in a race on the first lap.

Yap, and the second time where Ferrari did not complete any laps in a race. The first time was Spain 1970, when Jacky Ickx crashed out on lap 1 at Jarama in the lone Ferrari. Didn't know we had such a great record regarding this.

Well.. let's not say we lost it just yet. 5 races is still quite a lot of points and Merc on 4th engine for few races already so many things can happen. Look at all the factors that can change a race... reliability, grid penalties, Verstappen, tire issues.
Ferrari is pretty quick now and if Merc find themselves behind RB in a few races maybe not everything is lost.

Don't construe what Alonso did at this specific track(Malaysia 2017) with regards to Vettel as a sign of support for him. The interaction between Seb and Alonso at this track(Malaysia 2017)was at best....trivial IMO.

As far as supporting him, He has burned many bridges with various teams in his past; thats his own doing as he is paying for it. He is still a talented driver driving that lawn-mower for an engine car.

lol. Find this funny. Vettel expects Alonso to do him a favour because he is ex-ferrari? Sorry to say this, but SV is incredibly arrogant to even say that and to an extent delusional.
As for supporting alonso, he is the best driver out there. Thats the only truth and yes, Max will reach that level at some point.

That said, if KR had started the race or if SV had qualified in the front 2 rows, we would have won. The car was so fast, there was no way the RBR or the merc could hold a candle to it. At least at this track.
    Lets see what Japan brings.

Not really a favour to move over for blue flags...Alonso has complained about it before himself

Just out of random, I wonder if anyone else bumped into that "Kimi Raikkonen Space" page on Facebook. I nearly had to vomit when I started scrolling down and realizing what that page is all about.

Totally agree with you. No matter who it is, when one is about to get lapped you move from a racing line immediately!

I think Vettel specifically stated that when Alonso left Ferrari he said "I am no longer a Ferrari driver but a Ferrari fan'. Guess he's too bitter to even be that now. Oh well. If the only pleasure you can get in a race is by blocking people lapping you... enjoy. Envy is a terrible thing.

Easy answer, best driver out there is the one that one is the fan of.... (for instance for Buckeye it would be Lewis)

Hamilton and Vettel are both better than Alonso...Max is right there as well.

I'm a fan of Ferrari not drivers.

For what it's worth, the 'best driver' doesn't exist. Any one of 5 or 6 current drivers (VET, HAM, ALO, VER, RIC..) could win everything if they had the fastest and most reliable car and zero 'bad luck'..
    Period.
    Trying to be less angry..

Yup agree. Any of the top drivers that has the best car that suits him more than anyone else will be the fastest until someone else gets the faster car. Then the little things come into play like attitude, work ethic, attitude, team player..... moving over for blue flags.
