No other teams except Ferrari, RB have that scope to move ahead mercs. In the last part of the races.
If there's a chance it should be Renault as they r catching up & McLaren. But I don't see that happening.

If malaysia is anything to go by, barring any mechanical issues, we should win the race. I cant see RBR or Merc keeping up with the Ferrari.
Rain however can change everything. RBR with max does well in the rains. And LH is a good rain driver too.

I suspected something like that. 'Money laundering' sounds like a fabricated excuse to arrest anyone with a bit of cash.

Even after 30 years, all drivers like it

Suzuka, 3 October – Torrential rain greeted the Scuderia Ferrari team members as they landed in Japan. However, the current forecast is for better weather over the weekend, with the possible exception of Friday.

The Suzuka track is one of the classics of the Formula One Championship and exactly 30 years ago, it hosted its first Grand Prix. On that occasion, the race was won by Gerhard Berger in a Ferrari F1/87, the Austrian having started from pole position. From then on, apart from a couple of years when the race returned to Fuji, Formula One has always raced at this track in the Mie prefecture.

The track is pretty much universally liked by the drivers, even if no one can forget the 2014 tragedy that befell Jules Bianchi, a rising star for motor racing and for the Prancing Horse. Technically, it’s an “old style” circuit, narrow, with minimal run-off areas, corners with only one clear line and an interesting range of turns. The best known of these is undoubtedly the double uphill “esses” after the first corner, a place where Michael Schumacher was particularly adept at making a difference and there was almost a sense of destiny in the fact that, twice, he clinched the Drivers’ title here with Ferrari, in 2000 and 2003.

The key to Suzuka, in terms of driving, is to find a rhythm, so that getting the flow right through the turns is the key to success. With the 2017 cars and their very high aerodynamic downforce levels, a tricky corner such as the famous 130R, named after the original radius of its turn, could almost become a straight. But that won’t make the Japanese track and it’s unusual setting within an amusement park, any less of a challenge. And as for the fans, they are truly unique when it comes to their level of passion and enthusiasm.

What's the story in India? Do you think he's wanted because of political reasons maybe?

There are youtube videos from several years back of the Indian government seizing his properties and huge car collection. One video shows cars being driven off his property.

He owes the Indian government, they claim, either close to or over a billion USD from his Sahara/Kingfisher (mostly Kingfisher (beer)) entities. Indian govt. wants their money back.

Yes political is also part of it. As govt has been changed here.
In his years, he has favourable govt to him political leader do support him 3yrs ago.
Now that govt changed, and this govt is pretty strict on corruption & these kind of people who owe alot of money to bank & private people.
He literally betrayed Kingfisher airlines staff by not paying them their wages for an year or so.

He has business everywhere F1 (force India), cricket (IPL, indian premier league, team name : royal challengers Bangalore), liquor, airlines (Kingfisher).

He has a son, Siddarth malya who used date film actress Deepika Padukone earlier.

Now govt is trying to recover his properties n keeping it in auction. There were few business tycoons, film stars who manged to get his properties when on sale.

If Friday is washout, it will interesting to see teams approach for sat fp3. Mainly Ferrari, as their strategy this season improvement follows from fp1-fp2-fp3.
Where mercs is always fast straight out of the box.

Not sure if they've taken off few stands but attendance trend shows where F1 is heading. Pre-refuelling ban era was more spicier

Surprised at the attendance records for the years when Ferrari was dominant. It was a common thread that Ferrari winning all the time was bad for viewership...

Overall I like our chances here. I hope all the bad luck to be had was done with in Malaysia and this should mean a strong, trouble-free Japanese GP for the Scuderia.

Wow the Merc era has brought in the lowest numbers... not surprising
hockenheim 2018 / China 2018 : Never forget how quick Ferrari can lose it all, be humble.

Ferrari have lot of work do on simulator for this weekend to find right set-up as fp1 FP2 would be wet.
Going into fp3 Ferrari should nail it. As mercs seems to be vulnerable. I think RB would be up there as there will be mixed conditions. If it's proper dry track then it's ferrari.
Wt Ferrari need is Kimi to be up there with Vettel in all these races. N RB to be there up ahead of mercs for couple of races
