Mercedes diffuser. The tiniest of details matter, like the vertical fin, a late season addition, with the tiny stay steadying it against the flap.

Ferrari's monkey seats, they keep keep the air flow attached to the rear along with help from the exhaust flow. They're not quitebanned next year, but will not be allowed so close the exhaust. Red oxide in the tail pipe hints at fuel additives to reduce knock.

Ferrari's late season wing spec. Note the little vane between the wing and endplate.

McLaren's wing one of the most complex in the pitlane. Cue tweets of "all thats wrong" with F1, overtaking and costs etc etc etc.. NB Neat little flap angle adjuster.

It's very quiet on this thread for a GP weekend, hardly surprising as the WDC/WCC are done and dusted, it would be nice to think we could end on a high and we're OK so far in FP1/2 but HAM still has the edge. As for Sauber, I'd love to see Leclerc and Giovinazzi there but Ericsson's involvement provides a lot of their operating budget. Difficult situation but Marchionne usually gets his own way, Sauber-Alfa is OK with me.

Maybe Ferrari will make a deal. Ericsson might bring investors, but at the end of the day, Ferrari can give them an offer they can't refuse like a huge discount on engines. We'll see, at least we know one of our drivers will get a seat.

Analyse: Hamilton just went too wide from the apex of Turn 1, don't know if that's allowed for a professional pilot .... :)

I did read somewhere that Honda next PU has +30 HP . Toro Rosso could be another top team next year.

I don't think it's gonna be tight with mercs atleast in the hands of king Louis.
