There's a 5 part series on Alonso, from his Mclaren years with Hamilton to current. It's a good read and goes into detail. That link was "copied" out of one of the parts.

Also, Williams just changed their name to Williams Racing instead of what it used to be -->Williams Martini Racing due to the Martini Contract ending and not getting renewed.

Hence the livery change this weekend is 2 fold: 1) contract ending 2) region (no alcohol).

Sooo "spritzers" for the podium finishers.

    AND

Livery change for the Mclaren (Alonso's car) since it's his last year. I wonder if Mclaren will let him put this "one-off" in his museum. If so, will probably take years like his other Mclaren cars in his museum.

Alfa Romeo Sauber in Martini colors would be nice - but if I'm not mistaken Martini is to leave F1.

    Yep

Honda will bring their Spec 3 engine (965hp...maybe more in quali trim) plus or minus.

Lewis looks to take a new engine.

I say turn the PU's loose and let these guys race!!!

Williams might get a new sponsor in a Polish Oil Company named Orlen with signing Kubica. This should be announced at the Abu Dhabi Press Conference. This could be the biggest sponsorship that a Polish company ever did in sports. This could be a great marketing move for them because 60% of the income this company gets is outside of Poland.

That is another story, but at that time he looked best possible replacement for departing Alonso

2015,16,17 were not the best cars to fight for the championship.
SF71H certainly the best contender for WDC & WCC.
So don’t push everything on the driver, it’s a ratio of 60-40 driver & team.

+ 1, Seb certainly made plenty of mistakes this year and it is worrying that as a 4-times WDC (in the best car at the time), he finds it necessary to make sometimes questionable and impatient moves on other drivers, most of which have resulted in his loss of the WDC. But some of the problems were the team and pitwall, so I think that blaming Seb entirely is slightly unfair.

I can't help but think of Kimi in the #2 driver spot, same team , same pit problems, not the #1 car, and he managed 12 podiums, 251 pts. throw in a win, and looks like he might finish 3rd. Patients of a saint! He made my races worth watching Ferrari wise, along with a couple of other "Unmentionable" drivers ! Seb needs this last race to be a win for him, so he can chill out until next season starts.

I’m surprised with the same car DR managed to take pole positions instead of great driver mad max.
Next year, P Gasly . Will be interesting year for mad max.

In 2017 Ferrari had a car good enough to fight for the title until the last race (probably not to win it on merit), Vettel didn't deliver the goods. 2018 a car good enough to win the title or at least fight until the last race again, Vettel failed. Yes the team made mistakes, is not everything Vettel's fault but he has made too many mistakes, some of them pretty stupid for a 4X champion. Plus crashing into Hamilton in Baku and other questionable behaviors. More like 70-30 in my opinion.

That was a going away present from Max to Dan! All Max wins were not from pole! He specializes in wins from behind!

Lewis will take a grid penalty due to an engine (2019) change and "gift" Bottas a win IMO.

Exactly! 82 poles, that's special! Max realizing Dan had 8 DNFs this season, had to show some sympathy.

    +1

Vettel's SF71H was far more reliable than Hamilton's W09, but overall equally as quick.

AMuS have Ferrari marginally ahead, quicker at slightly more tracks than Merc. Racefans have them neck & neck. Autosport, upto & including Japan, it was 8-9 to Ferrari. So many professional rankings are not buying the assertion that the SF71H was not a championship capable car. Because it was.

The Ferrari team did make some mistakes, but to be fair, the Mec pitwall were far from perfect and made quite a few mistakes of their own. Merc got their strategy wrong in Australia, China, Bahrain, Austria, USA, Russia & Canada. There maybe more. So, Vettel wasn't the only driver having to deal with pitwall errors.

interesting. Although i wouldn't discount Red Bull winning, they have been on a charge recently.

Arrivabene always liked Kimi, he was emotional after Kimi's Austin win. He likes Seb too and I think if it was up to him they would have paired in 2019 too.

RBR have the fastest car during the race now (not qualy) IMO, so no gifties for Bottas yet. Oh and by the way, there is a certain Ferrari team that might go for it too.

See, this is where all your issues begin. There is not Seb and team. There is a team, part of which is Seb. Get that thru your head then you'll start understanding things, such as the ones I strive to explain to you.
Seb, Kimi, (every driver) are not foreign objects to "the team".
    Team include the drivers.

And yes, team actually under performed in certain aspects, whether you agree or not is irrelevant.
