    refering to the tyres
The Ferrari driver said Monaco “was a lot worse than the races before”

Seb suggests that ferrari might be forced to two stop if the hypersofts behave the way it did at monaco, rivals are planning a one stop.

Calm down. I think it’s interesting to both analyse and compare Ferrari to its competitors. I’m interested in all of F1, while supporting Ferrari. This doesn’t have to be a Ferrari-only vacuum. Jeeeeeez

I think its about this saying, "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer". We want to know what they do, so we can keep an eye on them, heck, we might even learn something or two to add to our cars!

So actually Merc are not bringing their new PU version this race. Apparently they found some issues and decided against it. Cool.

Ferrari removed the T-wing. There are two reasons for this. They had this in Baku, so, it means, the FIA looking into our batteries are affecting our HP, or, we generate enough downforce, with the floor now, with the new diffuser, we dont need a T-wing to help the rear wing. I hope its the later not the lower HP from FIA running new software.

mainly to reduce drag hence the removal of the t-wing.

Yes, this I understand, reducing drag. But, why now, why was it on Baku and not here. And Baku had a longer straight than here, so it was even worse drag there. I am just afraid that our HP is being affected by the FIA. This is why we are trying to reduce drag with removal of the T-wing. It is the first time this season they removed the T-wing.

mercedes and hamilton believe they fixed all the tyre deg and hypersoft issues, they changed something fundamental and they believe they sorted it now, not good imo with seb saying ferrari may be forced to pit an extra time

    https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/13...rsoft-problems

"I think Monaco was a one-off in that sense," said Hamilton.

"We've understood where and why our tyres didn't last and there's some fundamental things we've changed on the car which affected it. So I think we have a much better understanding coming into this weekend.

RB/DR look to be very happy with the hypers and they want everyone to start on it as they can go the deepest on them

Ricciardo and Red Bull's dominance in Monaco leaves him optimistic the hypersoft could help his team in Montreal.

"We were good on the hypersoft in Monaco," said the Australian. "Maybe it gives us another chance this weekend to have a strong race.

"We feel on paper this circuit should suit us more than maybe a couple of the others coming up.

"Because you can't control the pace around here as much as you can in Monaco, because of the straights and three DRS zones, you are forced to push a bit harder, and I think the hyper will get an even harder time around here.

"That is why I want everyone to start on it, so it can create a little bit of something."

Ricciardo is expecting early stops for the frontrunners this weekend, hinting that Red Bull might be able to run further than rivals.

Lauda saying he was impressed with our fuel consumption,

'"The car is fantastic and the engine - and even on fuel consumption they have been going [like] hell all through the race.'

I think the battery witch hunt is nothing more than Mercedes seeking clarification from the FIA towards its legality so that once they are deemed legal, they could copy it. Remember the tip came from 2 ex-Ferrari team members so I'm sure they brought with them some of our current innovations. Hopefully, that's the end of it and the complaining teams should move on already.
