McLaren say Fernando Alonso's car suffered an oil leak.

The Spaniard has left the garage and is in McLaren's hospitality area.

Then it’s better for him to not watch f1 or he didn’t see any other car on track.

13:11 Hamilton, on the hypersofts, fails to improve. Final sector mistake? His time is a 1m18.723s.
13:11 And the fastest middle sector...
13:10 Hamilton's back out and has set the fastest first sector of anyone so far.

Maybe its nothing, but we look very fast on the main straight. Maybe Ferrari found the secret for more engine horse power and we now have a better engine than Mercedes. Remember the articles from last year, they were saying something about a new pistone solution, which should give us more power. If they had done it, we could dominate the field in 2018. But its early days now, we are looking very good for now, lots of km without issues its fantastic news. I have a lot of hope in our team.

They are the first ones to do an engine swap for 2018. You'd think it was Honda 2017 all over again.

You are forgetting Aerodynamic drag. the fastest cars on the straight are usually the ones with less downforce.

Force India are usually fastest on a straight and so are hard to overtake but they are never fastest overall as they lose in the corners due to running less downforce.

That might be the last run for Vettel today. Kimi's seat is being fitted. (hopefully he won't need a diaper after what affected him this morning)

I've not seen any testing, can we draw any conclusions yet?
Are Merc finally going to get a battle this year or are they going to cruise to another title and give golden boy another undeserved title?

Not concerned at all, we nearly always do our quali sims the final two days. You don't win anything in testing and teams will be bringing updates between now and Melbourne. All I care about is where we are on any given Sunday of the race calendar. Everything else is meaningless.

Yeah I agree with you. It’s on Sunday’s that you get points & win championship.

hockenheim 2018 / China 2018 : Never forget how quick Ferrari can lose it all, be humble.

Sorry sky reporting bottas used hypersport, f1today showing medium

    Sky
That time is more than a second quicker than his previous personal best from testing - but was posted on the hypersoft tyre

    F1today
    BOTTAS VERY FAST
Valtteri Bottas has improved to a 1:18.658, a very good time on the medium compound.
