Medium tyre is right choice in those conditions. Pretty cold.

We don't really know the engine mode, but for sure this Ferrari will be a fast car. just wait when they unleash what they have been hiding

    @ Autosport

Vettel's been remarkably consistent during this long run on mediums, staying in the 1m21s throughout, whereas Verstappen - who is running a reasonably comparable stint length on the same compound - has been much less metronomic: a 1m21 here, a 1m24 there, then a 1m23. Could be something, could be nothing

Maybe Mercs have problems with softs again. Explains why they only used mediums last week. Any idea how many laps he did on these?

I'm not saying it is impressive but he is quicker than Bottas' time on the softs (which is they type of comparison people make on SkySports)

I believe Hamilton's run was set on a shorter stint.

Anyone know how many laps Hamilton did in that stint? Seb did it at the end of a long run.

Other factor track temp. That’s a big varaiable for tyre choice.
Under cold track, medium & S is tyre choice. Medium tends to work fast n can have long stint on that.
Softs will take time to work.

I guess the reason Ferrari was doing most of it's running on the soft tyre, so they can learn more about it

Well, let’s not forget that this year,s soft is last years super soft, this years medium is this years soft and so on
Each tire this year is one step softer.....so teams have to learn about their behaviour
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Mclaren broke down NOW it's the RedBull!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McLaren says latest Vandoorne stoppage was down to loss of hydraulic pressure.

Mmm it looks like Honda for RB 2019, and we are the only capable to stop Merc for a fifth in a row

RB has until May to make a decision for the switch according to Renault.
