Ofcourse we got Lucky, but that's the sport. There have been times we were unlucky.
Merc and HAM were in a league of their own this weekend, so we definitly need to improve.
That beeing said, we did a very solid weekend: good race from both drivers, good pits stops, good strategy.. BOT made a mess of his weekend, RBR also didn't have a smooth weekend, and Merc screwed up HAM's lead..
We need to improve our car for sure, hopefully we can do that.

Main thing this race was RBR didn't compete at the front for most of the race because of different reasons, but that made it possible for Seb to do what he did and that gave us victory..

    Let's enjoy this.

I was also very happy about Kimi's race, he did wel in my opinion, definitly first stint

This car is beautiful, full red is natural colour, better than red-white.

Very very good win, achieved in not a class of the field car but in a car that was inferior to Mercedes and maybe Red Bull. While Hamilton can claim being unlucky, Bottas, Verstappen and Ricciardo can only themselves to blame for losing out on the podium.

Can anyone point out to the crying Brits what happened during VSC in China and Bahrain last year?

    Happy with the win
Perhaps not best pure performance but ferrari have been able to capitalize on the race and win it
Last years whever happens the 2 mercedes were almost sure to be on the podium and this time P2 & P8 bottas is far of the podium and 2 ferrari are P1 and P3.

For the luck you need to make it happen
If mercedes wanted they could have kept hamilton on track with vettel after kimi pit stop and put quicker times (if they were able)
Vettel has been able to keep pushing and was able to get in front of Hamilton with the VSC
the redbulls were also lucky because without the Haas problems Riccardio was 6th and not just behind kimi
Same for all the driver including bottas who have pitted under VSC
If Verstapen redbull had some damaged its because of him driving kerbs and his spin its not bad luck.

At the end of the day another win for ferrari to start the season, more data for better understanding of the car.
Its not just to have the best car on qualification
the points are on sunday to capitalize on all opportunities.

Ferrari is fighting for the championship not just for a race win
2 weeks to next race lets the team organize with positive energy the fight for Bahrein

Great win. A bit lucky yes, but also, lets give it a couple of races before making any assumptions. Next up is a proper race track. :)

Not sure why luck is being discussed to this capacity. Ferrari won the Australian GP, move on to Bahrain

Indeed hopefully we understand the car a bit better now and I think we will be closer to Merc.

I bet you are disappointed that Kimi was not a slouch today. You just love to bash him, don't you?

Seems like he was still slow to awaken at the restart for SC.

But according to your logic Ferrari has a faster car because Sebastian won Lewis by +5 seconds?

Great win and mighty congratulations to the team. Always a great feeling listening to the italian national anthem on the podium, still gives me goosebumps Optimistic that even though we haven't managed to find right balance with car set up managed to fight for a win with a bit of lady luck shining on us. Honestly believe that we need to make the most and maximise performance every weekend for both of our cars and put some pressure on Merc for constructors points. They had a easy run last few years with constructors if Ferrari challenges it is going to hurt them. They are not a brand like Ferrari where they can generate the same financial revenues or marketing interest if they don't win as a team.

And where did I say that you said that? Just using your logic where you implied Seb had better pace than Kimi during this weekend when he finished 6 secs ahead.

But I'm sure you understood that, "mate".

Stating the obvious is not whining. Year in and year out whining about the other driver IS whining.

And that is true no? I never said Seb had better pace either, I said Kimi lost 6 seconds to him after SC which suggest it was not better pace all the way from Kimi....

Well to me Kimi had the better pace overall during the weekend, and I hope that he continues that.

Please do. I don't remember any other "whining" other than that I was disgusted about his Baku actions.

    Seb

Today has been our day. The Safety Car helped of course, but apart from that, I think we did everything we could do as a team. So when something happened, we were ready to react. We did our job before the race, evaluating different scenarios, and then in the race we had the pace as well. Lewis was under pressure, he was fast, but not as much as he needed. As for me, I need a little bit more of confidence with the car, which is not where we want it to be yet. There is a lot of work to do, but it is great to have both cars on the podium today. Yesterday in qualifying the car came alive, but it was still a little bit tricky, so we have some homework to do. I still need to drive around the issues more than I want to. I know exactly what I want, and we need to work on it. I believe the car has the potential we need.
Honest view, good that he knows where we need to improve to get us up there.

I understand you are a Kimi fan but Vettel is also our driver. I love Kimi as much as Vettel so I don't really have a preference as long as it is a Ferrari driver on the top step. We had a 1-3 and you should at least try to be happy for the team instead of making up excuses saying Kimi could have done this or done that. Even Kimi is happy as the team brought in loads of points for the championship. Are you here to support Ferrari or just Kimi?
