No doubt lucky, but it’s about time we had some luck! Repayment from Lady Luck for the end of last season. Enjoy it while we can! Mercedes looks scary, but couldn’t be a better start to a new season.

This is a race, not qualifying.
Luck, strategy, driving skills, all play a part here.

Sky and all the critics seem to forget that Lewis had many chance to overtake Vettel, like what many other drivers did.
He just couldn't, and end up making a mistake.

Vettel won the race fairly, and it was well deserved.

True true, the only luck I'm referring to is the VSC at the given point in time. That played into our cards.

Well we did have a bit of luck did we NOT? Otherwise on pure pace Lewis would have walked all over us

Like Seb was mentioning after the race to our team, we STiLL have some homework to do

So luck has played a lot on our first win of the season

These damn Sky commentators, only talking about why Hamilton lost, how its not fair about Virtual safety car!!! If Hamilton won this way, they would say, wow, what a master stoke of a strategy and how they took advantage of it, bla bla bla.

"Obviously, pretty good, we got a bit lucky with the safety car but really enjoyed it. My start didn't really work so I had to settle for third. I was struggling with the tyres, I felt a lot happier with the soft tyres and I was praying for the safety car and when I saw the stopped car - I was full of adrenaline!"

Race winner Sebastian Vettel: “We got a bit lucky obviously with the Safety Car. I really enjoyed it.

“I hoped my start would be a bit better but it didn’t really work so had to settle for third. At the end of the first stint I lost a bit of the connection to Lewis and Kimi ahead.

“I was praying for a Safety Car and then there was a car stopped in Turn Four and then the Haas stopped in the exit of Turn Two and when I saw it I was full of adrenaline.

“The race is frozen but to come into the pits on the limit and when I got out ahead I knew it was difficult to pass. He kept the pressure on, especially the beginning of the last stint but the last five laps I could enjoy a little bit more.”

Ferrari needs to improve in aero dept now. PU looks good.
