This is F1mate, as we’ve seen many times before, ANYTHING can happen.....this time a bit of luck when needed was on our side....long overdue luck...but I’ll t@ke it
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

    Well said!

Thankfully, our engineers seemed to have solved some of the balance problems before quali, our cars held their own when the chips were down

We won on merit, the mercs lost not due to the VSC but due to an error in their systems under the VSC. We didn't make any as a team and won!

Poor Haas, were both cars due to loose wheels???

yep, unsafe release......Rear left from Magnussen and front left from Grosjean. Wheel gun issue suspected.

Virtual safety care came out at the right time for us yes.
    But still:
-Vettel kept going with used ultrasofts and had a similar pace to Hamilton with new softs,

    - while hamilton was leading, he didn't manage to pull a big enough gap for him to be safe, or maybe he was too confident nothing could happen to him

    - when seb was leading, hamilton could not get any closer than 0.6sec, and he was never in a position to attack vettel.

So I can only see positive things from this win. Seb managed his tires well, the team played well with the strategy, the ferrari top speed improved and seems to give us more protection from mercedes attacks, and most hilarious thing, the one that got a smile swiped off his face was Lewis, not Sebastian.

So congratulations ti the whole team. They gambled on changing the car philosophy rather than making an evolution of last year car, and so far, they did well.

Man, the way that guy on the rear stormed out, I thought they were going to have to make a call to a suicide prevention hotline, he seemed really upset!

Lewis gained from VSC last year in Spain by pitting.

And Vettel lost out badly in China. Instead of potentially taking first place, dropped down to sixth and had to fight his way through the field. In Bahrain, VSC gave a lifeline for Mercedes but they messed out their stops, otherwise Bottas had a shot at jumping Vettel.

saw that...All pit crew were not happy campers.....all debbie downers. Both cars were doing awesome. Could have been a Ferrar 1-3-4-5 maybe.

Rather Mercedes win and Verstappen was already ahead of Grosjean in the pit exit. But as much as 20 points went begging today. Interesting what happened there, it's very unusual to release two cars with loose wheels.

We can build from here. After the party the boys in Maranello will get on with more development.

Unfortunate they didn't catch on that it was an equipment problem before the second mishap

speaking to friend who works wheel gun on #51 AF corse in WEC, he said could be air pressure failure. All signs saying you got enough, but when comes to pressing the trigger, the gun will work thinking theres enough but isnt. Or he said, wheel nut problem.

Good luck help the winner. First, we dident let Ham get away. for more than 3 sec diff. Second, we had the a
Opportunity to attack with two cars, and play a double strategy. And than came the luck.

Kravitz reports that the wheelguns were delivering torque but they don't know if it was enough. The traffic lights could also be an issue.

The @HaasF1Team is 'heartbroken' after a double DNF in the @ausgrandprix and has been slapped with a $10,000 fine to boot. Talk about kicking a team while they're down...

Vettel says his #AusGP win was "lucky" as Ferrari isn't a match for Mercedes right now per Autosport.
