Of the front-running trio, Ferrari has made the most aggressive tyre choice for the upcoming Chinese Grand Prix, which is a back-to-back event with this weekend's Bahrain GP.

The Scuderia has opted for eight sets of Pirelli's Ultrasoft compound and just three of the yellow-banded Soft tyre. Both Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen will have two sets of the Medium tyre at their disposal.

This is in contrast to Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas' allocation of six sets of the Ultrasoft. The pair have split strategy on the Soft and Medium, with Hamilton taking six and one respectively, whilst Bottas has opted for an extra set of the Mediums.

Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen are in the middle with seven sets of the Ultrasoft – the softest compound available during the race weekend – four of the Soft and two of the Medium.

Of the midfield, Williams, Haas and McLaren have all opted for eight sets of the Ultrasoft.
