I think the cooler weather doesn't suit the Mercs - I expect a close race. Air temps close to 20˚

    Mercedes sandbagging...

Some people here really underestimate Ferrari. Hopefully they got their answers today.

They said Ferrari would struggle on cold conditions and the ones who struggled were the mercs?? Also Mercs half a second behind us......Setup issues probably or are they protections their engine ?? Bottas said sth about tyre issues....

    Forza Ferrari!

My only fear is that the Merc is setup for warmer temperatures tomorrow, Ferrari may struggle on the tyres more.

But for now, let’s enjoy this! First consequitive front row lockouts since 2006! It’s been a long time between drinks. Let’s be proud of our team - and give them all a raise!

2 races in a row Bottas outqualified Hamilton. At least Seb has 2 drivers between him and Hamilton on the grid

Lion lap from Seb, i thought Kimi was going to destroy him with his last lap, but for the championship sake i was hoping for seb, but damn Kimi is going to get his pole and win sooner than later, well deserved it will be for kimi.

Both Ferraris right up there and so far ahead of the two Mercedes, means it's not due to drivers but the machines - about time! Who's forgotten about the halo, which would have impeded the times due to weight and drag? I don't think anyone cares any more!

Even with the front row lockout, Maurizio seems to be much calmer and less smile. Kind of like it as the fight is still long way to go until year end. But nice Q lap from both Seb and Kimi.

Hopefully Kimi will keep up his current form for rest of the year, WCC look like a possibility again.

Wolff said he setup car better for warmer weather in the race tomorrow, blames tyre grip for issues today

Toto just commented to Sky that they are setup for a warm race. This will be interesting! Fingers crossed Ferrari have kept the forecast in mind and that we don’t chew through the tyres. It makes sense that if we can get them to work wel in cooler conditions that they are being worked harder - hopefully it doesn’t translate into high wear tomorrow.

Toto thinks its a tyre issue, they fallen out the window as its too cold.

Therefore this proves Ferrari better on the tyre and has a wider working range as it worked today more then the Mercs and also in hotter races better then the Mercs

    Of course he did.
Then again, do we know how Ferrari has setup their car? ;)

Amazing qualy by our guys, both Seb and Kimi were near perfection. Seb last sector was fantastic and spot on, Kimi was also very impressive.

    Forza.

    Merc still have 'diva' traits.

The Mercs need to be looking behind tomorrow at the start and not forward, both Red Bulls will start on the Ultrasofts so better grip off the line

So Toto's statements of late all seem to be sour grapes,

    1. "Ferrari were using high power modes so nothing to worry" - FP3 Bahrain and then we locked out the front row
    2. "Ferrari were fuel saving right from the start" - Seb won Bahrain
    3. "We dont like the hot temps in Bahrain"
    4. "Its tyre issues here in the colder temps in China"

So proud of our boys!! If its warmer tomorrow, we'll be even quicker!
