    Arrivabene on Allison's comments: "If he really said that, he should be ashamed. He worked for Ferrari for many years. You have to be elegant. We are in England, they want to teach us how to be a gentleman, but he should be the first [to learn]"

    After France everyone was questioning Vettel and his explosive personality. Hamilton wins and it was looking like Mercedes were finally back and the momentum was swinging their way.

    Next, Austria. After a rather average qualifying session, Vettel saw a grid drop due to blocking Sainz, yet again prompting media and fans to question his abilities. Come the race it was looking like and easy Mercedes 1-2 until the unthinkable happened. Bottas DNFs and Merc have a strategy blunder leaving Hamilton out to dry. Vettel then performs the overtake of the race on the championship leader leaving him in the dust and taking the final podium spot. Hamilton then amazingly has a DNF. The first time a Mercedes has a double DNF due to technical reasons since the 50's. Ferrari regain the lead of both championships. This is also the second race in a row where Kimi has delivered a phenomenal performance, the first being in France.

    Finally, Great Britain. Vettel missed most of FP3 due to a neck problem. Qualifying was close but saw Lewis just clinch the pole position while Vettel and Raikkonen were 2nd and 3rd respectively. Race day arrives and Vettel completely mugs Hamilton off at the start. Raikkonen then completes the mugging when he spins Lewis out (Thanks Kimi ). Two safety cars ensured Hamilton a potential win. Vettel again pulls off an amazing overtake to regain the lead of the race. Raikkonen for the third race in a row earns his spot as a Ferrari driver. Vettel pulled off an amazing race with neck issues throughout the weekend. Overall, Ferrari extend both championship leads, Raikkonen is performing like himself again, and the Mercs are left eating glue out of their hands. Also Red Bull were doing things but they weren't really relevant.

    I think Vettel proved his elite mindset by coming back from such a low (France) to conquering Lewis' home ground. Onwards to Hockenheim.
    I noticed something in France with regards to Mercedes and their "mandated" tires. Both FP's and Quali, the weather was overcast so the track temp was cooler, about 20 c cooler than race day which was 20 C hotter than the previous 2 days. That's when I noticed the "achilles heel" of these tires on the W09 in France as they were having issues with them on race day.

    Today, MB went for the harder compound to last to the end and did'nt pit under the 1st SC. Once I saw both Ferrari's pit (Seb on new softs and Kimi on used softs (3 laps old)) and saw the laps, it was just a waiting game on Bottas....both Ferrari's had to keep up the pace when Bottas rears started to go with 10 laps remaining....then the inevitable. Seb, Ham, and Kimi ended up passing Bottas with Ricci gaining ground.

    Arrivabene: "And incompetent who? Kimi? Who is he to judge what a driver does in the car? I accept anything from Jacques [Villeneuve], because he was a driver, but from that guy [Allison], no"

    The British GP Forum on the "Technical" site just got locked down.... The ham fans are going totally of their rockers.. Same as the toxic toto and snake James. glad he decided to leave us. absolutely pathetic technical director.

    We must keep the pressure on now, Mercedes never had a proper challenge since the new engine formula, they don't know how to handle pressure!

    Wow. You would have had to really off Maurizio Arrivabene for him to come out like that."

    Yes Ferraris plan was to have lewis botch the start let vettel and bottas pass him and have kimi touch him ( with no damage to either car ) have others driver crash to bring out the safety car...Ferrari was masterful in their execution of this strategy

    Three races w/ special tires...

    SP - FR - GB
    Driver = Finishing Positions

    LH = 1, 1, 2
    Pts: 25, 25, 18 = 68

    SV = 4, 5, 1
    Pts: 12, 10, 25 = 47

    VB = 2, 7, 4
    Pts: 18, 6, 12 = 36

    KR = DNF, 3, 3
    Pts: 0, 15, 15 = 30

    Merc Points = 104
    Ferrari Points = 77

    Baku 2017 comes to my mind. Bottas hitting Kimi, no penalty at all. There was another incident where Bottas hit Vettel, who hit Verstappen. No penalty. It's indeed inconsistent.

    Because Kimi hit Hamilton is not the same as hitting botas (j/k)

    I doubt the Ferrari strategy is determined by what is said on this forum.
